Abstract
Aparato (100) y método para la fabricación de productos alargados de metal tales como barras, varillas o similares, dicho aparato comprende un tren (10) laminador que comprende por lo menos una caja (5) de laminación; una estación (20) de fundición que comprende por lo menos una primera línea (2a) de fundición y por lo menos una segunda línea (2b) de fundición, cada línea (2a, 2b) se puede operar para producir respectivos productos (b2a, b2b) alargados intermedios, tales como lingotes; en el que por lo menos la primera línea (2a) de fundición se almea directamente con el tren (10) laminador, dicha primera línea (2a) de fundición se configura para cargar el tren (10) laminador con una barra lingote de fundición completamente continua o con productos alargados intermedios fundidos; y la segunda línea (2b) de fundición no se almea con el tren (10) laminador. El aparato (100) comprende adicionalmente medios (30) de transferencia bidireccionales para transferir productos (b2b) alargados intermedios de la segunda línea (2b) de fundición alternativamente en una primera dirección desde dicha segunda línea (2b) de fundición hasta dicha primera línea (2a) de fundición para alinear dicho producto (b2b) intermedio alargado con el tren (10) laminador; o en una segunda dirección desde dicha por lo menos segunda línea (2b) de fundición hasta un lecho (40) de enfriamiento.
