Abstract

La presente divulgación se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de partículas carbonosas superficialmente modificadas, en donde dichas partículas carbonosas se recubren con una capa superficial de carbono amorfo mediante la dispersión de material carbonoso con un compuesto anfifílico, secado por aspersión de la dispersión y la posterior calcinación del material seco. La divulgación también se refiere a partículas carbonosas superficialmente modificadas recubiertas con carbono amorfo, que pueden por ejemplo, ser obtenidas por el procedimiento de la invención. La presente divulgación se refiere además al uso de las partículas carbonosas superficialmente modificadas en una variedad de aplicaciones técnicas, tales como su uso como un material activo para electrodos negativos de baterías de ion de litio. La presente divulgación también se refiere a una escobilla de carbono o un material compuesto de polímero y, en general, a composiciones que comprenden dichas partículas carbonosas superficialmente modificadas, opcionalmente junto con otros materiales carbonosos o no carbonosos.
