Abstract

Un método para formar un compuesto de la matriz polimérica reforzados con grafeno distribuyendo macropartículas de grafito en una fase polimérica termoplástica fundida que comprende uno o más polímeros termoplásticos fundidos; y aplicando una sucesión de eventos de deformación por esfuerzo cortante a la fase polimérica fundida de manera tal que la fase polimérica fundida exfolie el grafeno sucesivamente con cada evento, hasta que ocurra el rasgado de las hojas de grafeno multicapa exfoliado y produzca bordes reactivos sobre las hojas multicapa que reaccionen y reticulen uno o más polímeros termoplásticos; donde uno o más polímeros termoplásticos se seleccionan de polímeros termoplásticos sujetos a degradación por la radiación ultravioleta.
