Abstract

Célula de levadura que pertenece al género Saccharomyces a cuyo genoma se ha introducido por lo menos un gen xilA y por lo menos uno de cada uno de los genes araA, araB y araD y que es capaz de consumir una mezcla mixta de azúcares que comprende glucosa, xilosa y arabinosa, donde la célula consume simultáneamente glucosa y arabinosa, tiene variaciones genéticas que se obtuvieron durante su evolución adaptativa y tiene una velocidad de consumo específica de xilosa en presencia de glucosa que es de 0,25 g de xilosa/h. g de masa seca o más.
