Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un proceso para producir productos de fermentación de melaza utilizando un organismo fermentador, en donde la melaza se i) trata con una combinación de alfa-amilasa y glucoamilasa, y ii) fermenta utilizando uno o más organismos fermentadores a un conteo celular en el rango de 107-1011 células/mL de medio de fermentación. De acuerdo con la invención la materia prima es melaza la cual es un subproducto de, por ejemplo, azúcar refinado de caña o de remolacha.
