Abstract

La présente invention concerne des procédés de production d'acide succinique et/ou d'ions succinate par fermentation en conditions anaérobies permettant de minimiser la production d'acide orotique. En particulier, l'invention fournit un procédé de production d'acide succinique, comprenant : (a) une étape de culture d'une souche d'Εscherichia coli dans un milieu de culture, où ladite étape (a) comprend : (a-1) une étape de culture de la souche en conditions aérobies lors de laquelle du glucose est ajouté dans le milieu de culture selon un mode « fed-batch », et durant laquelle la concentration en glucose dudit milieu de culture est inférieure à 0,5 g/L; (a-2) optionnellement, une étape de culture intermédiaire; (b) une étape de production d'ions succinate par fermentation de la souche cultivée à l'étape (a) en conditions anaérobies en présence de CO2; (c) une étape de conversion des ions succinate formés à l'étape (b) en acide succinique; (d) optionnellement, une étape de purification de l'acide succinique.
