Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um método para a obtenção de uma cepa capaz de propagar eficientemente em um meio de baixo potencial nutritivo, capaz de metabolizar pentoses e de resistir aos inibidores de fermentação, compreendendo as seguintes etapas; a) cultivo de uma cepa de levedura recombinante com uma cepa de levedura selvagem desprovida de deficiências, a cepa de levedura recombinante compreendendo pelo menos uma cópia de um gene exógeno da xilose isomerase e pelo menos uma cópia supernumerária supernumerosa de um gene de d-xilulocinase incluída no genoma e ligado a uma única característica sexual da cepa, b) pelo menos dois ciclos de mistura genética pela esporulação e ou hibridização aleatória, c) seleção da população obtida na etapa b) de acordo com um critério de adequabilidade das cepas para metabolizar xilose, d) seleção da população obtida na etapa c) de acordo com um critério de adequabilidade das cepas para crescer em um meio tipo pref, um meio com valor nutritivo baixo. a invenção também se refere a uma célula, uma levedura ou uma cepa de levedura recombi¬nante obtida de acordo com o método, e ao uso de uma tal célula para a produção de bioetanol.
