Abstract

En un método para producir gránulos de hierro reducido, cuando un artículo con forma de polvo que incluye óxido de hierro y carbono, se calienta y se reducen en un horno de hogar rotatorio, un artículo formado producido usando una materia prima, en la cual el diámetro promedio del óxido de hierro es de 50 micrones o menos y una relación de monóxido de carbono a dióxido de carbono en una zona de reducción es desde 0.3 a 1, se reduce a una temperatura de 1400°C o menos, con lo cual se producen gránulos de hierro en los cuales la relación de metalización del hierro es de 50 a 85% y una relación de carbono residual es de 2% o menos.
