Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar una composición aglutinante bituminosa modificada de polímero en la ausencia sustancial de agentes de reticulación calentando un componente de bitumen en un tanque agitado a una temperatura desde 160°C hasta 221°C, agregando una composición de copolímero de bloque al componente de bitúmen, mientras el componente de bitumen está siendo agitado para formar una mezcla homogénea del componente de bitumen y la composición de copolímero de bloque, y continuar agitando la mezcla homogénea mientras se mantiene la temperatura desde 180°C hasta 221°C por un periodo total desde 4 horas hasta 30 horas, con ello formando una composición aglutinante bituminosa modificada de polímero curada. La composición de copolímero de bloque utilizada en el proceso comprende, uno o más copolímeros de bloque que tiene al menos un bloque monovinilaromático y al menos, un bloque de polibutadieno que tiene un contenido de vinilo de menos de 15 por ciento en mol y al menos, un bloque de polibutadieno que tiene un contenido de vinilo mayor de 25 por ciento mol.
