Abstract

Un proceso para la hidrogenacion selectiva de uno o varios alquinos y/o uno o varios dienos en una alimentacion de hidrocarburo que contiene olefinas incluye la puesta en contacto de la alimentacion de hidrocarburo con un catalizador bajo condiciones de hidrogenacion selectiva, el catalizador incluye de aproximadamente 0.01 a aproximadamente 0.1 por ciento en peso de paladio y de aproximadamente 0.005 a aproximadamente 0.6 por ciento en peso de al menos un metal de Grupo IB incorporado en un soporte inorganico, en donde el area superficial del soporte es de aproximadamente 2 a aproximadamente 20 m2/g, el volumen de poro es mayor que aproximadamente 0.4 cc/g, al menos aproximadamente 90% del volumen de poro esta contenido en poros con diametros de poro mayores que aproximadamente 500 A, y el volumen de poro de los poros con un diametro de poro de aproximadamente 500 a aproximadamente 1,000 A conforma de aproximadamente 1% a aproximadamente 2% del volumen de poro total.
