Abstract

백 하부의 하방으로의 조기 팽창 및 백 전체의 팽창 속도의 적정 범위 내에서의 저하를 양립시킬 수 있다. 에어 백 카버(16)에 근접하여 백 후방부(64B)를 남기고 또 백 전방부(64C)를 디퓨저(62) 및 팽창기(60)에 대한 에어 백 카버(16)측으로 돌려 넣음으로써 디퓨저(62) 등을 에어 백 카버(16)측으로 편위한 상태에서 배치하였다. 따라서, 가스 압력은 백 후방부(64B)를 거쳐서 직접적으로 에어 백 카버(16)에 작용하므로 에어 백 카버(16)를 재빨리 파단시켜서 전개시킬 수 있고, 백(64) 전체의 팽창 속도를 적정한 범위 내에서 늦게 할 수 있다. 게다가, 디퓨저(62)에 의해 팽창기(60)로부터의 분출 가스가 차량 후방측을 향해 유출되게 하였으므로, 전개 후에는 백 후방부(64B)를 차량 후방측으로 그리고 경사 하방으로 조기에 팽창시킬 수 있다.

Description

조수석용 에어 백 장치 및 이에 적용되는 백 절첩 방법
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 본 실시 형태에 관한 조수석용 에어 백 장치의 종단면 구조를 도시하는 제3도의 1-1선 확대 단면도.
제2도는 제1도에 도시되는 조수석용 에어 백 장치의 횡단면 구조를 도시하는 제3도의 2-2선 확대 단면도.
제3도는 제1도에 도시된 조수석용 에어 백 장치의 인스트루먼트 패널에의 조립상태를 도시하는 외관 사시도.
제4도는 제1도에 도시된 조수석용 에어 백 장치의 외곽 구성 부품의 분해 사시도.
제5도는 제1도에 도시되는 조수석용 에어 백 장치의 기능 부품의 분해 사시도.
제6도는 제4도에 도시되는 베이스 플레이트의 프레스 펀칭 직후의 평면 전개 상태를 도시하는 평면도.

Claims (8)

  1. 차량의 인스트루먼트 패널에 있어서의 조수석측의 꼭대기부에 전개 가능하게 설치된 에어 백 카버와, 이 에어 백 카버의 하방에 배치되고 그 에어 백 카버에 의해 폐색되는 에어 백 케이스와, 이 에어 백 케이스내에 절첩 상태로 수용된 백과, 이 백 내에 배치되고 충돌시에 가스를 분출하여 백을 조수석측으로 팽창 돌출시키는 팽창기를 포함하여 구성되는 조수석용 에어 백 장치에 있어서, 상기 팽창기를 상기 에어 백 카버측으로 편위한 상태에서 배치하는 동시에 상기 백의 일부를 상기 팽창기에 대한 반 에어 백 카버측으로 돌려 넣고, 또 그 팽창기로부터 분출되는 가스가 차량 후방측을 향해 흐르게 한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 팽창기의 주위에 그 팽창기로부터 분출되는 가스를 정류하기 위한 정류구를 구비한 정류 수단을 설치하고, 또 상기 정류구를 상기 정류 수단의 정면부에 대해 차량 후방측으로 오프셋한 위치에 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 정류구의 상부 모서리측에 차량 후방측을 향해 돌출하는 차양부도 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  4. 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 정류 수단에 있어서의 꼭대기면부에 팽창기로부터 분출되는 가스의 흐름의 일부를 차량 폭 방향으로 편향시키는 편향 수단도 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  5. 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 에어 백 케이스를 천으로 제조한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  6. 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 에어 백 케이스는 저벽부, 전방 벽부, 후방 벽부 및 한쌍의 측벽부를 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 팽창기에 대해 반 에어백 카버측으로 돌려 넣은 상기 백의 일부를 상기 에어 백 케이스의 저벽부, 전방 벽부 및 후방 벽부에 의해 유지시킨 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 에어 백 케이스의 전방 벽부와 상기 정류 수단의 전방측의 외면 사이의 간격 및 상기 에어 백 케이스의 후방 벽부와 상기 정류 수단의 후방측의 외면 사이의 간격을 이들 부분에 배치되는 절첩 상태의 벽 두께 보다 크게 설정한 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석용 에어 백 장치.
  8. 제2항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 조수석용 에어 백 장치에 적용되는 백 절첩 방법에 있어서, 상기 백의 대략 중앙부에 정류 수단을 삽입한 상태에서 절첩 후의 백 폭이 정류 수단 폭과 대략 일치하도록 상기 백의 한 조의 측부를 소정 1차 접음선에 따라서 띠형으로 절첩하여 1차 절첩 상태로 하는 제1공정과, 1차 절첩 상태의 다른 한 조의 측부를 상기 1차 접음선과 직교하는 소정의 2차 접음선에 따라서 절첩함으로써, 상기 다른 한 조의 측부의 절첩 단부를 정류 수단에 대하여 반 에어 백 카버측으로 돌려 넣어 2차 절첩 상태로 하는 제2공정을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 백 절첩 방법.
