본 발명은 인발가공특성 및 내마모성이 우수한 복합 슬라이딩 부재에 관한 것이다.
종래 베어링 부재등의 복합 슬라이딩 부재로서는, 금속금망 또는 익스팬드 메탈(expanded metal)을 기체(base)로 하고 기체의 공동부 및 표면에, 테트라플루오로 에틸렌 수지(이하 PTFE라 한다)에 흑연, 이황화 몰리브덴, 유리섬유, 열경화성 수지 등의 충전재를 첨가하여 얻어지는 합성수지 조성물 또는 슬라이딩 부재용 조성물을 함침 피복한 것이 사용되어 왔는데, 이들 부재는 내마모성, 저마찰계수를 얻는 것을 목적으로 하는 것이었다.
상기의 금속금망 또는 익스팬드 메탈에 슬라이딩 부재용 조성물을 함침 피착한 복합 슬라이딩 부재는 꽤 낮은 마찰계수 및 저마모량을 달성하고 있다. 그러나, 이들 복합 슬라이딩 부재가 사용되는 근년의 가혹한 사용상황을 고려해 볼때, 이들 부재는 슬라이딩 특성, 특히 내마모성을 항상 만족시키고 있다고 할수는 없었다. 또, 다종다양한 형상의 베어링을 인발가공등에 의해 얻는 것은 곤란했다.
이것은, 비점착성인 PTFE 수지와 기체와의 밀착성이 나쁘고, 또 가공시에 PTFE 수지와 기체 사이에 균열 혹은 박락이 생기고, 따라서 얻어지는 슬라이딩 부재의 기계적 강도가 현저하게 저하되는 때문이었다.
또, PTFE 수지와 충전재와의 밀착성도 나쁘고, 따라서 충전재의 탈락이 일어나기 때문에 슬라이딩 특성 또한 저하되었다.
본 발명은, 상기 문제점을 해결하고, 인발가공성 및 슬라이딩 특성, 특히 내마모성이 우수한 복합 슬라이딩 부재를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은 인발가공 특성 및 내마모성이 우수한 복합 슬라이딩 부재를 제공한다. 즉, 본 발명은, 금속금망 혹은 익스팬드 메탈을 기체로 하고, 기체의 공동부 및 표면에, 테트라 플루오로에틸렌-퍼플루오로알킬비닐에테르 공중합체 수지(이하 PFA라 한다), 테트라플루오로에틸렌-헥사플루 오로프로필렌 공중합체 수지(이하, FEP라 한다), 및 플루오로에틸렌-프로필렌에테르 수지(이하 EPE라 한다)로 이루어지는 A군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 수지 0.1∼50용량%, 옥시벤조일 폴리에스테르, 폴리페닐렌 설파이드, 열경화성 수지, 금속윤활제. 금속산화물, 복합 금속산화물, 금속황화물, 금속불화물, 탄소계 고체윤활제, 섬유재료 및 세라믹으로 이루어지는 B군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 성분 0.1∼50용량%, 및 테트라플루오로에틸렌 수지를 함유하며, 상기 A군과 B군의 성분 합계는 0.2∼70용량%이고 그 외의 잔부는 실질적으로 테트라플루오로에틸렌 수지로 이루어진 윤활조성물이 함침피복되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 슬라이딩 부재를 제공한다.
본 발명에 있어서 기체로 되는 금속금망은, 예를들어 인청동 합금, 알루미늄 합금, 스테인레스강 합금 등으로 이루어지고, 선경 0.05∼2mm의 세선을 10∼200메쉬로 짠 것이다.
또. 익스팬드 메탈은. 예를들어, 인청동 합금, 알루미늄 합금, 스테인레스강 합금등으로 이루어지고, 두께가 0.05∼2MM인 박판을 익스팬션 가공(expansion processing)을 하여, 각변 0.l∼3mm, 두께 0.1∼4mm로 성형한 것이다.
다음으로, 플루오로 수지에는 PFA, FEP, EPE로 이루어지는 A군의 것 1종 이상과 PTFE와의 모든 조합체들이 포함된다. 즉, PTFE-PFA, PTFE-EPE, PTFE-FEP, PTFE-PFA-EPE, PTFE-PFA-FEP, PTFE-EPE-FEP 및 PTFE-PFA-EPE-FEP의 모든 조합체들이 플루오로 수지로 사용될 수 있다. 이 성분들은 소성단계에서 상용하여, 원래의 PFA, FEP, EPE 및 PTFE 및 이것의 단순한 혼합물과는 완전히 다른 별개의 특성을 갖는 단일물질로 된다.
상기한 바와 같이, PTFE 수지와 기체와의 밀착성은, PTFE를 A군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 수지와 혼합하고 소성하여 단일물질로 만드는 것에 의해, 현저하게 향상되고, 따라서 인발가공시에 있어서의 균열 및 박락이 방지될 수 있다. 그 외에, PTFE와 충전재와의 밀착성도 향상되고, 충전재의 탈락을 방지하는 것에 의해 충전재의 내마모성의 효과가 조장된다. 본 발명의 조성물은 단순한 폴리머 브랜드는 아니다.
즉, PTFE, PFA, FEP, EPE의 각각의 조합체들은, 소성전은 PTFE, PFA, FEP, EPE 각각의 용융점(m. p.)을 나타낸다. 그러나. 일단 소성한 후에 광학 현미경 및 시차주사 열량계(DSC)에 의한 분석을 통해 조사해 보면, 전기의 각 조합체의 성분들은 상용하여 하나의 조직으로 되고, 조합체의 각 성분들 간의 경계가 존재하지 않는 것으로 밝혀진다.
또, 상기 A군의 성분을 PFA. FEP 및 EPE로 특정한 이유는, 다른 플루오로 수지, 예를들어, ETFE, PVDF. PCTFE 등 또는 이들의 조합체를 사용하여 슬라이딩 부재를 형성하는 경우에 제조공정의 소성단계에 있어서 분해, 균열, 팽윤 등의 현저한 변형이 일어난다든가 또는 슬라이딩 부재의 기계적 강도가 현저하게 저하되는 것을 발견했기 때문이다.
A군의 성분의 사용량은 0.1∼50용량%, 바람직하게는 2∼30용량%인데, 이렇게 한정한 이유는, 0.1용량% 미만의 경우에는, 본 발명이 목적으로 하는 마찰특성 및 내마모성이 현저하게 저하되고, 그리고 50용량%를 초과하면, 내마모성이 향상되지만, 마찰계수와 마찰온도가 상승하여 슬라이딩 특성을 저하시키기 때문이다.
다음에, B군의 성분으로서는 옥시벤조일 폴리에스테르, 폴리페닐렌 설파이드, 열경화성 수지, 금속윤활제, 금속산화물, 복합금속 산화물, 금속황화물, 금속불화물, 탄소계 고체윤활제, 섬유재료 및 세라믹의 적어도 1종 또는 이들의 2종 이상의 조합체가 선택되고, 그의 사용량은 전체의 0.1∼50용량%, 바람직하게는 2∼30용량%이다. 이 양이 0.1용량% 미만인 경우에는, 성분들의 첨가는 내마모성에 아무런 효과도 발생시키지 못하고 첨가하는 의미가 없다. 또 50용량%를 초과하면, 내마모성이 향상되지만, 마찰계수와 마찰온도가 상승하여 슬라이딩 특성을 저하시키게 된다.
또, 상기의 열경화성 수지에는 폴리이미드, 폴리아미드이미드, 실리콘 수지, 페놀수지 등으로 이루어지고 소생단계에 있어서 분해, 균열, 팽윤 등의 현저한 변형을 일으키지 않는 수지가 포함된다.
그 외에, 금속윤활제에는 Pb, Sn, Cu, Zn, Bi, Cd, In, Ll 및/또는 그의 합금이 포함되고; 금속산화물에는 Zn, Al, Sb, Y. In, Zr, Mo, Cd, Ca, Ag, Cr, Co, Ti, Si, Mn, Sn, Ce, W, Bi, Ta, Fe, Cu, Pb, Ni, Te, Nb, Pt, V, Pd. Mg 및 Li의 각 산화물이 포함되고; 복합 금속산화물에는 CoO-Al2O3, TiO2-ZnO2, PbO-TiO2. Co0-SnO2 , MgO-A12O3, ZrO2-SiO2 , CoO-Al2O3-MgO, CoO-Al2O3-Cr2O3, CoO-ZnO-MgO, Pb3O4-Sb2O3-TiO2, Cr2O3-Sb2O3-TiO2, Cr2O3-CuO-MnO2, CoO-Cr2O3-Fe2O3, CoO-Zn02-NiO2-TiO2 , CoO-Cr2O3-MnO2-Fe203 등이 포함되고: 금속황화물에는 MoS2, WS2 등이 포함되고: 금속불화물에는 PbF2, AlF3, CdF2, CaF2 등이 포함되고: 또 탄소계 고체윤활제에는, 불화 흑연, 흑연, 코크스, 피치(pitch), 타르, 카본 및 열처리된 페놀수지 등이 포한된다.
섬유재료에는 카본파이버, 목면(셀룰로오스), 아스베스토, 록울(rock wool), 티탄산 칼륨섬유, 방향족 폴리아미드섬유 등의 천연섬유 및 인조섬유가 포함되고: 세라믹에는 SiC, TiC, B4C, BN, Si3N4, AlN, HfN, TaN, WC, TaC, VC, ZrC 등이 포함된다.
[실시예]
이하 실시예에 관해 설명한다.
(1) 선경 0.2mm의 인청동 합금의 세선을 40메쉬로 짜서 제 3도에 평면도, 제 4 도에 단면도를 보인 기체로 되는 금속금망을 형성했다. 다음에, 금속금망을 롤 사이로 통과시켜 금속금망의 공동부 및 표면을 표 1에 나타낸 조성물로 함침 피복시키고, 이렇게 처리된 금속금망을 380℃에서 3분 동안 소성하였다.
또, 금속금망을 롤 사이로 통과시켜 0.5mm 두께로 균일하게 하여, 종래품(No.1,2) 및 본 발명품(No.6∼9)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대해 마찰마모시험과 파단시험을 실시하였다. 표 3 및 4는 이 시험의 조건을 나타내는데, 이 조건은 아래의 시험에서도 사용된다.
이 시험의 결과들을 표 1에 나타내었다.
(2) 선경 0.2mm의 알루미늄 합금의 세선을 40메쉬로 짜서 제 3도에 평면도, 제 4도에 단면도를 보인 기체로 되는 금속금망을 형성하였다. 이하,(1)과 마찬가지로 하여 종래품(No.3,4) 및 제 6도에 보인 본 발명품(No.10∼13)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대한 마찰마모 시험결과와 파단시험 결과를 표 1에 나타내었다.
(3) 경선 0.2mm의 스테인레스강 합금의 세선을 40메쉬로 짜서 제 3도에 평면도, 제 4도에 단면도를 보인 기체로 되는 금속금망을 형성하였다. 이하.(1)과 마찬가지로 하여 종래품(No.5) 및 제 6도에 보인 본 발명품(No.14∼16)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대한 마찰마모 시험결과와 파단시험 결과를 표 1에 나타내었다.
(4) 판두께 0.3mm의 인청동 합금판을 익스팬션 가공하여 각변 0.8mm의 능형의 망목을 구비한 두께 0.4 mm의, 제 1도에 평면도, 제 2도에 단면도를 보인 기체로 되는 익스팬드 메탈을 형성하였다.
다음에, 익스팬드 메탈을 롤 사이로 통과시켜 익스팬드 메탈의 공동부 및 표면을 표 1에 나타낸 성분들로 함침 피복시키고, 이 성분들을 380℃에서 3분간 소성하였다. 또, 이 제품들을 롤 사이로 통과시켜 0.5mm의 두께로 균일하게 하여 종래품(N0.17,18) 및 본 발명품(No.22∼25)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대한 마찰마모 시험결과와 파단시험 결과를 표 2에 나타내었다.
(5) 판두께 0.3mm의 알루미늄 합급관을 익스팬션 가공하여, 각변 0.8mm의 능형의 망목을 구비한 두께 0.4mm의, 제 1도에 평면도, 제 2도에 단면도를 나타낸 기체로 되는 익스팬도 메탈을 형성하였다. 이하,(1)과 마찬가지로 하여 종래품(No.19,20) 및 제 5도에 보인 본 발명품(No.26∼29)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대한 마찰마모 시험결과와 파단시험 결과를 표 2에 나타내었다.
(6) 판두께 0.3mm의 스테인레스강 합금판을 익스팬션 가공하여, 각변 0.8mm의 능형의 망목을 구비한 두께 0.4mm의, 제 1도에 평면도, 제2 도에 단면도를 나타낸 기체로 되는 익스팬드 메탈을 형성하였다. 이하, (1)과 마찬가지로 하여 종래품(No.21) 및 제 5도에 나타낸 본 발명품(No.30∼32)을 얻었다.
이 제품들에 대한 마찰마모 시험결과와 파단시험 결과를 표 2에 나타내었다.
표 1 및 표 2로부터도 명백한 것처럼, 종래품(시료 No.l∼5,17∼21)을 본 발명품(시료 No.6∼16,22∼32) 과 비교해 보면, 본 발명품은 내마모성 및 마찰계수가 다음과 같이 개선되어 있다.
우선, 내마모성을 보면, 뵨 발명품의 마모량은, 종래품 보다 낮다. 이것은, 플루오로카본 수지 성분이 상용하여, 단일 물질로 되어, 충전재와의 밀착성이 향상되고, 충전재의 탈락이 방지되고, 또 충전재에 의해 내마모성이 조장되기 때문이다.
다음으로, 마찰계수를 보면, 표 1 및 표 2로부터 명백한 것처럼, 종래품은 약 0.11∼0.34의 마찰계수를 가진다. 그러나, 제품 No.1,2,3,17,18,19 및 21에 나타난 것처럼, 약 0.11∼0.18의 낮은 마찰계수를 갖는 제품조차도 마모량이 커서 내마모성에 관해서는 만족스럽지 못하다.
이에 대해, 본 발명품은 종래품과 마찬가지로 약 0.09∼0.17의 낮은 마찰계수를 갖을 뿐만 아니라 마모량도 적고 또한 내마모성에 관해서도 만족스럽다.
또, 가공성에 관해서는, 표 1 및 표 2로부터 명백한 것처럼, 기체로서 상기 한 수지 조성물을 함침 피복한 금속금망 또는 익스팬드 메탈을 사용하는 본 발명품은, 종래품과 비교할때, 에리크센 치(Erichsen value)가 꽤 높고, 따라서 균열 및 박락이 일어나기가 어렵다. 이것은, PTFE 수지에 PFA, FEP 및 EPE로 이루어지는 A군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 수지를 상용시키는 것에 의해, 플루오로카본 수지와 기체와의 밀착성이 향상되어, 균열 및 박락이 방지되고, 기계적 강도의 저하가 방지되기 때문이다.
이상으로부터 명백한 것저럼, 종래품과 비교하여 본 발명품쪽이 더 우수한 인발가공성을 가지고, 따라서 다종다양한 형상의 슬라이딩 부재를 얻을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 박재로서도 사용 가능하기 때문에 슬라이딩부재의 부피도 작게할 수 있다.

Claims (3)
- 금속금망 혹은 익스팬드 메탈을 기체로 하고, 기체의 공동부 및 표면에, 테트라 플루오로에틸렌-프플루오로알킬비닐에테르 공중합체 수지, 테트라 플루오로에틸렌-헥사플루오로프로필렌 공중합체 수지, 및 플루오로에틸렌-프로필렌에테르 수지로 이루어지는 A군으로부터 선택되는 1 내지 3종의 수지 0.1∼50용량%, 옥시벤조일 폴리에스테르, 폴리페닐렌 설파이드, 열경화성 수지, 금속윤활제, 금속산화물, 복합 금속산화물, 금속황화물, 금속불화물, 탄소계 고체윤활제, 섬유재료 및 세라믹으로 이루어지는 B군으로부터 선택되는 1내지 11종의 성분 0.1∼50용량%, 및 테트라플루오로에틸렌 수지를 함유하며 상기 A군과 B군의 성분 합계는 0.2∼70용량%이고 그 외의 잔부는 실질적으로 테트라플루오로에틸렌 수지로 이루어진 윤활조성물이 함침피복되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 슬라이딩 부재.
- 제1항에 있어서, A군의 성분의 사용량은 2∼30용량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 슬라이딩 부재.
- 제1항에 있어서, B군의 성분의 사용량은 2∼30용량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 슬라이딩 부재.
