Abstract

본 발명은 리셉터클 커넥터가 회로 기판(16)의 단부(23)에 장착되는 IC 카드조립체에 사용되는 리셉터클 커넥터(12)의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 하우징(50)은 상면(74)와 상면에 평행 연장되는 두 줄 형태의 다수의 단자 수용 통로(52)를 갖추고 있다. 회로 기판은 하우징의 상면에서 일정 수직 거리 떨어져 위치한다. 다수의 리셉터클 단자(18)은 통로 외부로 돌출되는 단자의 표면 장착 미부(54)와 함께 통로 안으로 삽입된다. 회로기판과 하우징 상부 사이의 수직 거리가 정해진다. 두 줄 단자의 미부는 초기에 직선형 평면 배열에서 하우징의 후방면으로부터 돌출된다. 단일 최종 성형 단계에서, 표면 장착 미부는 리셉터클 커넥터가 회로판의 단부에 장착될 때 표면 장착 미부의 접촉부가 회로 기판의 단부상의 대응 한 줄 접축 패드(20)과 결합하도록 동일평면의 만곡된 접촉부(56)으로 성형된다.

IC 카드용 리셉터클 커넥터의 제조 방법

제1도는 본 발명의 방법에 따라 제조된 리셉터클 커넥터를 포함하는 IC 카드의 분해 사시도, 제2도는 리셉터클 커넥터의 후방측 또는 접속측의 확대 사시도, 제5도는 단자 미부의 성형 전에 리셉터클 커넥터를 통해 본 종단면도.

Claims (6)

  1. 리셉터클 커넥터가 회로 기판의 단부에 장착되도록 되어 있는 IC 카드에 사용되는 리셉터클 커넥터의 제조 방법에 있어서, 상면으로부터 소정 수직 거리에 회로 기관이 배치되도록 되어 있는 리셉터클 커넥터 하우징에, 상면 및 그에 평행으로 연장되는 두 줄로 배열된 복수개의 단자 수용 통로를 제공하는 단계와, 통로 외부에 직선 평면 배열로 돌출하는 표면 장착 미부를 갖는 복수개의 리셉터클 단자를 상기 양 줄의 통로에 삽입되는 단계와, 회로 기판과 하우징의 상면 사이의 상기 소정 수직 거리를 결정하는 단계와, 리셉터클 커넥터가 장착될 때 표면 장착 미부가 회로 기판의 단부 상에 대응 접촉 패드에 결합하도록 상기 소정 거리에 대응하게 표면 장착 미부의 양 열을 최종 성형하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 IC 카드용 리셉터클 커넥터의 제조 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 최종 성형 단계는 회로 기판의 접속 패드와의 결합을 위해 두 줄의 평면 표면 장착미부를 동일 평면의 만곡된 접촉부로 동시에 성형하는 단계로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 윗줄 및 아랫줄의 단자 수용 통로 내의 상기 리셉터클 단자는 실제로 동일하고, 상기 삽입 단계는 아랫줄의 단자 수용 통로에 삽입된 리셉터클 단자에 대해 경면 대칭 형태로 리셉터클 단자를 윗줄의 단자 수용 통로에 삽입하는 단계로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 단자 수용 통로의 아랫줄에 삽입하는 상기 리셉터클 단자의 표면 장착 미부는 아랫줄의 표면 장착 미부가 윗줄의 표면 장착 미부와 일직선이 되도록 오프셋을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 회로 기판의 단부 위의 상기 접촉 패드는 한 줄 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 최종 성형 단계는 접촉부에 예비 하중을 가하고 동일 평면성을 유지시키기 위해 하우징의 기판 결합 표면 아래로 약간 돌출되는 만곡된 접촉부의 동시 성형을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
