Abstract

편광판, 위상차편광판 또는 위상차판의 한쪽 표면에 접착층을 형성시키고, 이 접착층의 표면에 투명한 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림을 베이스 필름으로 한 이형필림을 형성시킨 적층체에 있어서, 상기 적층체가 마이크로파 투과형 분자배향기로 측정한 상기 이형필림에 있어서 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림의 배향주축의 방향(1)과 편광판, 위상차편 광판 또는 위상차판의 배향축의 방향(2)이 실질적으로 동일하거나 또는 실질적으로 90도의 각도를 이루도록 되어 있음을 특징으로 하는 편광 특성을 개선시킨 적층체. 본 발명의 적층체는 대형의 TFT방식 또는 STN방식의 편광판, 위상차편광판 또는 위상차판을 시각적으로 검사할 때 이물질 또는 결합을 용이하게 발견하도록 해준다.

제 1 도는 본 발명에서의 적층체의 구조와 시각검사상태를 보여주는 개략도이다.

Claims (10)

  1. 편광판, 위상차편광판 또는 위상차판의 한쪽 표면에 접착층을 형성시키고, 이 접착층의 표면에 투명한 이축배양 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림을 베이스필림으로 한 이형필름을 형성시킨 적층체에 있어서, 상기 적층체가 상기 이형필림에 있어서 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림의 마이크로파 투과형 분자배향기로 측정한 배향주축의 방향(1)과 편광판, 위상차편광판 또는 위상차판의 배향축의 방향(2)이 실질적으로 동일하거나 또는 실질적으로 90도의 각도를 이루도록 되어 있음을 특징으로 하는 편광특성이 개선된 적층체.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 마이크로파투과형 분자배향기로 측정하였을 때 이축방향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림이 1.3~1.8의 MOR값을 갖는 적층체.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림에서의 MOR값의 죄대값과 최소값의 차가 0.2 이하인 적층체.
  4. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림이 하기식(1)로 정의된 위상차(R)값이 1200nm 이상인 적층체.

    여기서 Δn는 589nm파장(λ)의 가시광선에서 필림의 폭방향에서의 굴절률(nx)와 필림의 폭방향과 직각방향에서의 굴절률(ny)사이의 차(nx-ny)이고, d는 필림의 두께(nm)이다.)
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서, 이형필림이 투명한 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림의 최소한 한쪽 표면에 실리콘 코팅하여 이형성을 부여시킨 필림인 적층체.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서, 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림이 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 필림인 적층체.
  7. 투명한 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림의 최소한 한쪽 표면에 실린콘 코팅하여 이형성을 부여시킨 이형필림으로서, 마이크로파투과형 분자배향기로 측정한 상기 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림의 MOR값이 1.3~1.8인 편광판, 위상차편광판 또는 위상차판의 검사를 위한 이형필림.
  8. 제 7 항에 있어서, 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림에서의 MOR값의 최대값과 최소값의 차가 0.2 이하인 이형필림.
  9. 제 7 항에 있어서, 이축배향 방향족 폴리에스테르 필림이 하기식(1)로 정의된 위상차(R)값이 1200nm 이상인 이형필림.
