복굴절 필름, 이의 제조방법, 지연필름, 타원 편광판, 및 액정 디스플레이

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 지연 필름의 한 양태의 단면도이다,
제2도는 본 발명에 따른 지연 필름의 또다른 양태의 단면도이다,
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 타원 편광판의 한 양태의 단면도이다.

Claims (7)

  1. 필름면에 평행한 방향으로 배향된 분자 및 필름의 두께 방향으로 배향된 분자가 혼합된 상태를 존재하는 복굴절 필름.
  2. 수축성 필름을 수지 필름의 한면 또는 양면에 적층화하여 적층물을 제조한 다음, 적층물을 열연신시킴으로써 연신방향을 가로지르는 방향으로 신축되는 능력을 수지 필름에 부여하면서 수지 필름의 연신 처리를 수행함을 특징으로 하여, 제1항에서 청구된 복굴절 필름을 제조하는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 수축성 필름의 폭 방향 또는 길이방향의 수축도가 수지 필름의 폭 방향 또는 길이 방향의 수축도보다 5%이상 더 큰 방법.
  4. 제1항에서 청구된 하나 이상의 복굴절 필름을 사용하고 판 평면에 대해 두 방향으로 평행하고 직각으로 서로 교차된 복굴절 지수 nx및 ny및 판의 두께 방향의 복굴절 지수 nz가 하기 식을 만족시키는 지연 필름.

  5. 제4항에서, 복굴절 지수 nx및 ny가 하기식을 만족시키는 지연 필름.
    100㎚<(nx- ny)d<1000㎚상기식에서 d는 판의 두께이다.
  6. 제4항에서 청구된 지연 필름과 편광 판의 적층물을 포함하는 타원형 편광판.
  7. 액정 셀 및 제4항에서 청구된 지연 필름을 통하여 액정 셀의 하나 이상의 면에 장착된 편광판을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이.
