Abstract

본 발명은 강유전성 액정화합물 및 시클로헥센을 유도체를 포함하는 조성물을 제공한다. 특히, 하기의 일반식을 제공한다.
상기식에서, R1및 R2가 각각 C1-C20의 탄소원자를 가지는 알킬, 시클로알킬, 알켄일, 알콕시, 티오알킬, 알킬실릴기일 수 있다. Y는 -COO-, -OCC-, CH2O-, 또는 -OCH2를 나타내며, Ar1및 Ar2는 각각 페닐고리, 할로겐화 페닐고리 및 질소원자를 포함하는 방향족 작용기로 이루어진 그룹으로 부터 선택될 수 있다.
바람직한 실시예에 있어서, 본 발명의 화합물은 질소를 포함하는 방향족 고리는 적어도 하나를 포함한다. Ar1및 Ar2는 1,4-페닐, 2,5-피리디닐, 2,5-피리미딜, 2,5-피라지닐, 2,5-티아디아졸, 3,6-피리디지닐 및 1,4-시클로헥실로 부터 선택될 수 있으며, 키랄 라세미기 및/또는 키랄 비라세미기이다.

Claims (20)

  1. 하기식의 일반식을 가지는 화합물.
    상기식에서, R1및 R2가 각각 C1-C20의 알킬, 시클로알킬, 알켄일, 알콕시, 티오알킬 및 알킬실릴기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택되며, Y가 -CH2O-, -COO-, -OOC-, -OCH2- 일 수 있으며, Ar1및 Ar2는 각각 페닐, 모노- 또는 디플루오르화 1,4-페닐, 2,5-피리디닐, 2,5-피리미딜, 2,5-피라지닐, 2,5-티아디아졸, 3,6-피리다지닐 및 트란스-1,4-시클로헥실로 일루어진 그룹으로 부터 선택되며, 적어도 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 질소원자를 포함하는 방향족 고리이다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, Y는 -O-CH2또는 -CH2-O- 인 화합물.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 2,5-치환된 피리미딘인의 화합물.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 2,5-치환된 피리미딘 화합물.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 2,3-디플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐, 2-플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐 또는 3-플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐기인 화합물.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 트란스-1,4-시클로헥산인 화합물.
  7. 제2항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 각각 알킬, 알켄일, 알콕시 및 티오알킬기로 이루어진 그룹으로 부터 선택되는 화합물.
  8. 제2항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 각각 알킬 또는 알켄기인 화합물.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 C5내지 C12의 탄소원자를 포함하는 화합물.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, Y가 -OOC- 또는 -COO- 인 화합물.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar1가 2,5-치환된 피리미딘인 화합물.
  12. 제10항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 2,5-치환된 피리딘인 화합물.
  13. 제10항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 2,3-디플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐, 2-플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐 또는 3-플루오로-1,4-치환된 페닐기인 화합물.
  14. 제10항에 있어서, 하나의 Ar1또는 Ar2가 트란스-1,4-시클로헥산인 화합물.
  15. 제10항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 각각 알킬, 알켄일, 알콕시 및 티오알킬기인 화합물.
  16. 제10항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 각각 알킬 또는 알켄기인 화합물.
  17. 제10항에 있어서, R1및 R2가 C5내지 C12의 탄소원자를 포함하는 화합물.
  18. 제1항에 따른 화합물을 하나 이상 포함하는 강유전성 액정 조성물.
  19. 제2항에 따른 화합물을 하나 이상 포함하는 강유전성 액정 조성물.
  20. 제10항에 따른 화합물을 하나 이상 포함하는 강유전성 액정 조성물.
