Claims (12)

  1. 하기 일반식(Ⅰ)의 화합물
    상기식에서, 고리A및 C는 각각 독립적으로 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 1,4-페닐렌, 트랜스-1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일, 피리딘-2,5-디일 또는 피리미딘-2,5-디일일 수 있으나, 단, 고리 A 및 C 중 하나만이 피리딘-2,5-디일 또는 피리미딘-2,5-디일일수 있으며, 고리 B는 모노플루오로-치환되거나 또는 2,3 -디플루오로-치환된1,4-페닐렌이고, Z1또는 Z2는 단일결합을 의미하며, Z2및 Z1은 각각 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 옥시메틸렌 또는 메틸렌옥시를 의미하고, m 및 n은 각각 독립적으로 0,1 또는 2를 의미하며, 이때, m+n은 1또는 2이고,R1은 C1-10-알킬, C2-9-알콕시알킬 또는 C1-9-알콕시를 의미하고, R2는 C1-10-알킬을 의미하나, 단, 2개의 1,4-페닐렌 고리는 단일 결합에 의해서만 서로 연결될 수 있다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 고리 A가 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌 또는 1,4-페닐렌인 화합물.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 고리 B가 2,3 -디플루오로-1,4-페닐렌인 화합물.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 고리 C가 트랜스 -1,4-사이클로헥실렌 또는 1,4-페닐렌인 화합물.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, Z1이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌을 의미하는 화합물.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, Z1이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌을 의미하는 화합물.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, R1이 3내지 5개의 탄소원자를 함유하는 화합물.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, R2가 C1-3-알킬을 의미하는 화합물.
  9. 적어도 하나의 성분이 제1항에서 정의한 일반식(Ⅰ)의 화합물인, 적어도 2개의 성분을 갖는 액정 혼합물.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 일반식(Ⅰ) 화합물의 함량이 3 내지 30 중량%인 액정 혼합물.
  11. 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 일반식(Ⅰ)화합물 및 하기 일반식(Ⅱ) 내지 (ⅩⅩ)의 화합물 그룹중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 함유하는 액정 혼합물 :
    상기식에서, r은 0 또는 1을 나타내고 R3및 R6는 각각 독립적으로 알킬, 알콕시알킬, 3E-알케닐, 4-알케닐 또는 포화된 고리상에서 또한 1E-알케닐을 의미하고, 고리 A1은 1,4-페닐렌, 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 피리딘-2,5-디일, 피리미딘-2,5-디일 또는 트랜스-1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일을 나타내며, R4는 시아노, 이소티오시아네이토, 불소, 알킬, 3E-알케닐, 4-알케닐, 알콕시, 2E-알케닐옥시, 3-알케닐옥시, 디플루오로메톡시, 트리플루오로메톡시 또는 1-알키닐을 나타내고, 고리A2는 1,4-페닐렌 또는 트랜스-1,4-사이클로 헥실렌을 나타내며, R5는 알킬, 3E-알케닐, 4-알케닐 또는 사이클로헥산 고리상에서 또한 1E-알케닐 또는 벤젠 고리상에서 또한 시아노, 이소티오시아네이토, 알콕시, 2E-알케닐옥시 또는 3-알케닐옥시를 의미하고, R7은 알킬, IE-알케닐, 3E-알케닐 또는 4-알케닐을 나타내며, Z3및 Z4는 각각 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌을 나타내는데, 이때 2개의 방향족 고리는 단일 결합에 의해서만 연결되며, R8는 시아노, 알킬, 1E-알케닐, 3E-알케닐, 4-알케닐, 알콕시, 2E-알케닐옥시, 3-알케닐옥시, 알콕시메틸 또는 (2E-알케닐)옥시메틸을 의미하고, R9은 수소, 불소, 또는 염소를 나타내며, R10은 불소, 염소, 디플루오로메톡시, 트리플루오로메톡시 또는 시아노를 의미하고, R11은 알킬, 1E-알케닐, 3E-알케닐 또는 4-알케닐을 나카내며, R12는 수소 또는 불소를 의미하고, R13은 불소, 염소, 디플루오로메톡시 또는 트리플루오로메톡시를 나타낸다.
