Claims (5)

  1. 적어도 하나의 화합물이 하기 일반식(I) 또는 (II)의 불소화 올리고페닐인 것을 특징으로 하는, 적어도 2개의 화합물의 혼합물인 액정 매질 :
    상기식에서, 그룹 R1및 R2중의 하나는 F, OCF3, OCHF2또는 NCS이며, 그룹 R1및 R2중의 다른 하나 및 R3는 서로 독립적으로 1개 또는 2개의 CH2그룹이 -O-, -O-CO-, -CO-O- 및/또는 -CH≡CH-로 치환(단, 2개의 O 원자는 직접적으로 결합되지 않는다)될 수 있는 C1-C14알킬이고, X, Y, S, T 및 Z는 각각 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 F이고, p는 0, 1 또는 2이며, 단, p가 0인 경우, X, Y 및 Z중의 하나는 F이고, Q는 그룹
    중의 하나이며; W는 -CO- 또는 -CH2- 이고, E는 단일결합 또는 -CH2CH2- 이며, r은 0 또는 1이고, n은 0 또는 1이며, 단 n가 0이고, p가 1 또는 2인 경우, 그룹 X, Y 및 Z 중의 적어도 하나는 F이고, m은 0 또는 1이며, 단 m가 0인 경우, S 및 T 중의 적어도 하나가 F 이고/이거나 r이 1이다.
  2. 하기 일반식(I)의 불소화 올리고페닐 :
    상기식에서, X, Y, Z, n, p, R1및 R2의 의미는 제1항에서 정의한 바와 같다.
  3. 하기 일반식(II)의 불소화 올리고페닐 :
    상기식에서, R3, Q, W, S, T, E 및 m의 의미른 제1항에서 정의된 바와 같다.
  4. 제1항에 따른 액정 매질을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  5. 제1항에 따른 액정 매질을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기광학 표시장치.
