Claims (5)

  1. 제1성분으로서 다음 6종류의 화합물중 하나 또는 그 이상에서 선택된 하나 또는 그 이상의 물질, 합계로 40내지 99중량%와 제2성분으로서 SA―N전이온도를 상승시키는 높은 복굴절과 높은 포지티브 유전이방성을 갖는 하나 또는 그 이상의 물질 1내지 60중량%로 이루어진 스메틱 A상을 나타내는 액정 조성물.
    상기 일반식에서, R은 모두 탄소수 2내지 18의 알킬쇄이고, R′는 모두 탄소수 1내지 17의 알킬쇄이며, 여기에서 하나 또는 그 이상의 비인접 CH2그룹은 산소원자로 치환한다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 조성물이 기본 혼합물만으로 이루어지거나, 또는 기본 혼합물과, 합계 10중량%이하의 하나 또는 그 이상의 다른 성분과 함께 이루어진 것으로, 상기 기본 혼합물은 제1성분으로서 다음 6종류의 화합물중 하나 또는 그 이상에서 선택된 하나 또는 그 이상의 물질, 합계로 40내지 90중량%를 함유하고, 상기 기본 혼합물의 밸런스가 되는 제2성분은 다음 11종류의 화합물(4내지 14)중 하나 또는 그이상에서 선택된 하나 또는 그 이상의 물질로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 조성물.
    상기 일반식에서, R은 모두 탄소수 2내지 18의 알킬 쇄이고, R′는 모두 탄소수 1내지 17의 알킬쇄이며, 여기에서, 하나 또는 그 이상의 비인접 CH2그룹은 산소원자로 치환된다.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, R은 모두 직쇄알킬인 액정조성물.
  4. 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 다른 성분은 키랄, 이온성, 계면활성제 및/또는 게스트 염료 첨가제인 것 액정조성물.
  5. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항 또는 제4항에 따른 조성물로 충전된 액정 셀.
