제1도는 화합적으로 및/또는 물리적으로 활성이고 흡착성인 비-팽윤성 입자가 포획된 PTFE피브릴의 매트릭스를 가진, 본 발명에 따르는 복합체 제품의 현미경 사진(100배확대)이다, 제2도는 본 발명의 복합체 시이트의 공극 트기에 대한 공극의 수%를 나타내는 플로트(plot)이다, 제3도는 배합물중에 윤활제의 양을 조절함으로써 제조한 본 발명의 일련의 복합체 제품의 공극크기에 대한 공극의 누적%를 나타내는 플로트이다.
Claims (32)
- (a)불용성 비-팽윤성 흡착성 입자 및 폴리테트라플루오로 에틸렌(PTFE)을 포함하는 블랜드와 윤활제를 혼합하여 부드러운 반죽형 덩어리를 형성시키는 단계(이때, 상기 윤활제는 상기 입자의 흡착성을 최소한 3중량%초과하는 양으로 존재하고, 상기 덩어리는 접착성 점조도를 가지며, 상기 불용성 입자 대 PTFE의 비율은 40 :1 내지 1 : 4 범위이다); (b) 상기 PTFE 입자의 초기 피브릴화를 일으키기에 충분한 온도에서 그러한 시간 동안 상기 덩어리를 세게 혼합하는 단계; 및 (c) 상기 PTFE입자의 추가의 피브릴화를 일으킬 정도의 온도로 유지된 캘린더링 롤(calendering roll)들의 갭(gap)사이에서 그러한 시간동안 상기 덩어리를 이축 캘린더링시키면서 각각 연속적인 캘린더링 조작으로 캘린더링 롤들 사이의 갭을 폐쇄시켜 자가-지지되는 내인열성 시이트를 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 복합체 시이트의 다공도 및 평균 공극 크기를 조절하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 생성된 시이트로부터 윤활제를 제거하여, 상기 흡착성 입자가 포획된 피브릴 메트릭스를 형성하는 인터레이스된(inreraced)PTFE미세섬유망을 포함하는 복합체 시이트를 제공하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 윤활제가 물, 수-계 용매 또는 유기 용매인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 윤활제가 입자의 윤활제흡착능을 3 내지 200중량% 범위의 양만큼 초과하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 입자가 탄소, 유기 화합물, 중합체, 무기 산화물 또는 이온 교환 또는 킬레이트화 입자 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 흡착성 입자가 실리카, 알루미나, 티타니아, 지르코니아, 및 이들의 배합물로 이루어진 그룹중에서 선택된 방법.

- (a) 폴리테트라플루오로에틸렌(PTFE)피브릴 매트릭스, 및 (b)상기 매트릭스에 포획된 불용성 비-팽윤성 흡착성 입자를 상기 비-팽윤성 입자 대 PTFE비율 40:1 내지 1:4범위 (중량에 의함)로 포함하는, 공극율 30내지 80%범위의 다공도 및 0.3 내지 5.0μm범위의 평균 공극 크기를 가진 제2항의 방법에 따라 제조된 크로마토그래피용 복합체 제품.
- 제9항에 있어서, PTFE의 부에 대해 0 내지 28.99부 범위의 특성 조절제를 추가로 포함하는 복합체 제품.
