제2도 (a)와(b)는 종래의 하나의 스페이서를 사용할 경우 압력인가시와 실라트 경화후 압력제거시 SNF 액정 표시소자의 단면도,
제3도 (a)와(b)는 본 발명의 서로다른 스페이서를 사용할 경우 압력인가전 및 실란트 경화후 압력제거시 STN 액정 표시소자의 단면도.

Claims (1)

  1. 유리기판(2,2')의 대향면에 투명도전막(3,3')이 형성된 다음 배향막(4,4')이 형성되고, 유리기판(2,2')의 셀갭을 유지하기 위해 스페이서(6)를 사용하여 실란트 (5)를 도포한 후 네마틱 액정분자(7)가 봉입되며, 유리기판(2,2')의 다른 쪽에 편광판(1,1')이 배치된 STN액정표시소자에 있어서, 스페이서 도포시 두가지의 다른 칫수의 스페이서를 사용하여 큰 스페이서(6')를 실란트(5)에 혼합하여 유리기판 (2,2')의 외측에 도포하고, 작은 스페이서(6)를 유리기판(2,2')의 전면에 도포한 다음 상, 하 유리기판(2,2')을 접착시켜 고압처리후 소자전면에 균일한 셀갭을 얻을 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 슈퍼 트위스티드 네마틱 액정표시소자.
