Claims (43)

  1. 무한한 길이, 제1면 및 제2면을 가진, 대략 평탄하고 변형가능하며 변형온도 범위를 가진 물질의 대략 연속한 웨브를 성형된 물질의 웨브로 변형하는 방법에 있어서, (a) 물질 웨브의 제1면이 성형구조물의 성형면에 근접하게 상기 물질 웨브를 상기 성형구조물 위에 제공하고, 상기 성형면이 물질 웨브의 길이 방향으로 운동하며 그 방향으로 상기 물질 웨브를 운반하고, (b) 액체 분류를 상기 물질 웨브의 제2면에 가하고, 상기 액체 분류는 상기 물질 웨브가 상기 성형면 쪽으로 변형되게 할 만큼 충분한 힘과 질량유량을 가지고 있어 상기 물질이 실질적인 3차원 형상을 얻고, 그리고, (c) 상기 방법을 통하여 상기 물질이 변형온도 범위아래로 유지되도록 상기 물질 웨브의 온도를 조절하는 단계들을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 물질이 용융온도 범위가 있는 열가소성 필름을 포함하고, 상기 변형온도 범위가 상기 필름의 용융온도 범위인 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 열가소성 필름이 폴리에틸렌, 저밀도 폴리에틸렌, 선형저밀도 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 및 이 물질들의 실질적인 소량을 포함한 공중합체와 혼합물로 구성된 쪽으로 부터 선택되는 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 필름이 약 0.01mm-약 0.04mm의 두께를 가진 방법.
  5. 제2항 내지 제4항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 성형하기 전의 필름의 표면외관과 기계적 성질들이 상기 성형된 필름에 실질적으로 보유되는 방법.
  6. 제2항 내지 제5항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 음각 및 천공된 물질의 웨브를 만들기 위해, 무늬진 성형면과 대향면을 가진 성형 구조물을 사용하고, 상기 성형면이 측벽과 양끝의 구멍들을 가진 함몰부들을 포함하고, 상기 성형 구조물이 상기 성형면의 구멍에서 상기 대향면까지 열려있는 방법에 있어서, 액체 분류는 상기 물질 웨브에 기공들이 생성되게 하는 충분한 힘과 질량 유량을 가지고서 물질 웨브의 제2면에 가해지고, 상기 액체 분류의 적어도 일부가 상기 물질 웨브의 기공들을 통해, 상기 성형면의 구멍들을 통해, 그리고 상기 성형 구조물을 통해 흘러보내지고, 상기 액체 분류는 상기 물질 웨브가 상기 함몰부 안으로 연장되게 하고 상기 물질웨브의 제1면이 상기 함몰부의 측벽들 쪽을 가압되게 하는 충분한 힘과 질량 유량을 가지고 있어 천공된 돌기들이 상기 물질웨브에 성형되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 액체 분류가 구멍들을 통해 상기 성형 구조물 안으로 흘러가는 지역에 있는 성형 구조물의 대향면 아래에 진공이 가해지는 방법.
  8. 제6항 혹은 제7항에 있어서, 성형면의 운동방향에 수직하기 볼때, 액체 분류가 주행 방향에 설치되어 한 지점에서 상기 성형면에 부딪치고, 그래서 액체 분류가 상기 성형면에 접근할 때에 상기 액체 분류의 주행 방향과 상기 액에 분류가 상기 성형면에 부딪치는 상기 지점으로 부터의 상기 성형면의 운동방향 사이의 각도가 예각인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  9. 제6항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한항에 있어서, 성형면이 약 4m/sec 혹은 더 빠른 선형 속도로 물질 웨브의 길이 방향으로 운동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.

  19. 무한한 길이가 있고 변형온도 범위를 가진 대략 평탄한 물질을 대략 연속한 웨브를 성형된 물질로 변형하는 장치에 있어서, (a) 무늬진 성형면을 가진 성형 구조물, (b) 상기 물질 웨브의 길이 방향으로 상기 성형면을 이동시키는 수단, (c) 상기 물질 웨브가 실질적으로 상기 성형면의 영상으로 성형되게 하는 충분한 힘과 질량 함유량을 가지고서 액체 분류를 상기 성형면에 가하는 수단, 및 (d) 상기 변형온도범위 아래로 상기 물질의 온도를 유지하도록 상기 물질 웨브의 온도를 조절하는 수단을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 성형면은 측벽들과 양끝에 구멍들을 가진 함몰부들을 포함하고, 상기 성형 구조물이 상기 성형면의 구멍들에서 대향면까지 열려있는 것이 특징인 장치.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 성형면이 함몰부들 사이에 랜드지역들을 포함하고, 상기 랜드지역들이 표면 거칢을 포하는 것이 특징인 장치.
  22. 제19항 내지 제21항에 있어서, 액체 분류를 가하는 수단이 고압 분무노즐들을 포함하는 것이 특징인 장치.
