Description

流体分配層は、以下に記載されるように、手動で分離することができないように一体化された3層以上の層を含む。流体分配層は、エアレイド材料を実質的に含まない。各層は、より大きい流体分配層に一体化された場合であっても、z方向に沿って層の少なくとも一部に対してその独自の特性を維持する。層化材料に依存する従来のコアシステムとは異なり、本出願人らは、複数の層を統合することによって、繊維の統合に起因して流体が層の間で移行する様式を改善すると同時に、流体がZ方向に移動する際に流体に異なる働きをする流体分配層を作成し得る。流体分配層は、毛細管吸引を提供して、細流/低流動条件と競合している、トップシート14を通して流体を「引く」。流体分配層20はまた、分配機能を提供して、吸収性コア18を効率的に利用することによって、噴出を封じ込め得るだけでなく、吸収性コア18が流体を受け入れ得るまで中間的な貯蔵を提供し得る。
図6は、連続的なカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布の製造プロセスの一例の簡略化された概略図を示す。理解されるように、図6のプロセスにより生成されるカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布は、図1~図2の生理用ナプキン10のような各種の吸収性物品の他、おむつ、トレーニングパンツ、成人用失禁用下着、その他の同種のものを含む他の各種吸収性物品の製造に使用することができる。
A.3層以上の層を含むカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布であって、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、最大約175gsmの坪量を有し、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、吸収繊維、補剛繊維、及びフィラー繊維のブレンドを含み、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、熱剛化されており、3層以上の層が、接着剤なしで一体化されている、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
B.カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、約2mm~約4mmのキャリパーを有する、項Aに記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
C.カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、約2mm~約3mmのキャリパーを有する、項A~Bのいずれかに記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
D.カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、約45gsm~約150gsmの坪量を有する、項A~Cのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
E.カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、約0.01mNcm~約20mN・cmのMD曲げ剛さを有する、項A~Dのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
F.カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、約8を超える細孔容積比を有する、項A~Eのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
G.補剛繊維が、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)から形成された中空螺旋状繊維を含み、補剛繊維が、約6dtex~約15dtexの線密度を有する、項A~Fのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
H.吸収繊維が、レーヨンから形成された三葉繊維を含み、吸収繊維が、約1dtex~約6dtexの線密度を有する、項A~Gのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
I.フィラー繊維が、ポリプロピレン(PP)から形成された中実円形繊維を含み、フィラー繊維が、約3dtex以上の線密度を有する、項A~Hのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
J.補剛繊維が、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布の約10重量%~約50重量%を形成する、項A~Iのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
K.吸収繊維が、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布の約10重量%~約50重量%を形成する、項A~Jのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
L.フィラー繊維が、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布の約1重量%~約80重量%を形成する、項A~Kのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布。
M.トップシート、バックシート、及び吸収性コアを含む吸収性物品であって、吸収性コアが、項A~Lのいずれか一項に記載のカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布を含む、吸収性物品。
AA.少なくとも2つの吸収性物品の配列であって、配列が、第1のトップシート、及び3層以上の層を含む第1の流体捕捉層を有する第1の吸収性物品と、
第2のトップシート、及び3層以上の層を含む第2の流体捕捉層を含む第2の吸収性物品と、を含み、
第1のトップシートが、第2のトップシートとは異なる組成を有する、配列。
BB.第1のトップシートが、不織布を含む、項AAに記載の配列。
CC.第1のトップシートが、フィルムを含む、項AA~BBのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
DD.第1の流体捕捉層が、最大約175gsmの坪量を有するカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布を含み、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、吸収繊維、補剛繊維、及びフィラー繊維のブレンドを含み、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、熱剛化されており、3層以上の層が、接着剤なしで一体化されている、項AA~CCのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
EE.第2の流体捕捉層が、最大約175gsmの坪量を有するカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布を含み、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、吸収繊維、補剛繊維、及びフィラー繊維のブレンドを含み、カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、熱剛化されており、3層以上の層が、接着剤なしで一体化されている、項AA~DDのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
FF.第1の流体捕捉層が、約2mm~約4mmのキャリパーを有する、項AA~EEのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
GG.第1の流体捕捉層が、約2mm~約3mmのキャリパーを有する、項AA~FFのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
HH.第1の流体捕捉層が、3つの層を有し、第2の捕捉層が、4層以上の層を有する、項AA~GGのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
II.第1の流体捕捉層が、約45グラム/平方メートル(gsm)~約150gsmの坪量を有する、項AA~HHのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
JJ.第1の流体捕捉層が、約0.01mNcm~約20mN・cmのMD曲げ剛さを有する、項AA~IIのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
KK.第1の流体捕捉層が、約8を超える細孔容積比を有する、項AA~JJのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
LL.第1の流体捕捉層が、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)から形成された中空螺旋状繊維を含む補剛繊維を含み、補剛繊維が、約6デシテックス(dtex)~約15dtexの線密度を有する、項AA~KKのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
MM.第1の流体捕捉層が、レーヨンから形成された三葉繊維を含む吸収繊維を含み、吸収繊維が、約2dtex~約6dtexの線密度を有する、項AA~LLのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
NN.第1の流体捕捉層が、ポリプロピレン(PP)から形成された中実円形繊維を含むフィラー繊維を含み、フィラー繊維が、約3dtex以上の線密度を有する、項AA~MMのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
OO.第1の流体捕捉層が、第1の流体捕捉層の約10重量%~約50重量%を形成する補剛繊維を含む、項AA~NNのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
PP.第1の流体捕捉層が、第1の流体捕捉層の約10重量%~約50重量%を形成する吸収繊維を含む、項AA~OOのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
QQ.第1の流体捕捉層が、第1の流体捕捉層の約1重量%~約80重量%を形成するフィラー繊維を含む、項AA~PPのいずれか一項に記載の吸収性物品の配列。
以下の試験方法を使用した。
(1)本明細書で提供される繊維線密度の測定値を、ASTM呼称D1577-07に詳述されるような、織物繊維の線密度の標準試験方法を使用することによって得た。
(2)本明細書で提供される繊維長さの測定値を、ASTM呼称D5103-07に詳述されるような、製造されたステープル繊維の長さ及び長さ分布の標準試験方法(単一繊維試験)を使用することによって得た。
(3)本明細書で提供される容量の測定値を、Worldwide Strategic Partners(WSP)試験方法10.1を使用することによって得た。
(4)本明細書で提供されるキャリパーの測定値を、0.5kpa負荷を使用して、Worldwide Strategic Partners(WSP)試験方法120.6を使用することによって得た。後で試験した試料について、1.43キロパスカル(kPa)荷重、0.3インチ/秒の落下速度、及び2秒の滞留時間で、50.8mmのアンビル直径を使用した。
(5)本明細書で提供されるMD曲げ長さ及びCD曲げ長さの測定値を、Worldwide Strategic Partners(WSP)試験方法90.5を使用することによって得た。後で試験した試料については、25mm×少なくとも85mmである試料サイズを利用したことに留意されたい。
(6)本明細書で提供される空気透過性の測定値を、Worldwide Strategic Partners(WSP)試験方法70.1を使用することによって得た。後で試験した試料については、125Paの圧力損失、及び38.3平方センチメートルのオリフィスを使用した。
(7)本明細書で提供される坪量の測定値を、Worldwide Strategic Partners(WSP)試験方法130.1を使用することによって得た。
(8)本明細書で提供される細孔容積半径モード及び細孔容積比の測定値を、細孔容積分布に関する以下の方法によって得た。
細孔容積分布測定を、TRI/自動ポロシメーター(TRI/Princeton Inc.of Princeton,N.J.)で行う。TRI/自動ポロシメーターは、多孔質材料における細孔容積の取り込み及び細孔径分布を測定するための自動コンピュータ制御器具である。ここで、吸収、脱着、及び第2の吸収サイクル中に、0.25psiの封圧を使用して、初期乾燥試料に対して測定を行う。5マイクロメートル(μm)~1000μmの細孔を測定する。TRI/自動ポロシメーターについての情報、その操作、及びデータ処理については、本明細書に参考として組み込まれるThe Journal of Colloid and Interface Science 162(1994),pp.163-170に見出すことができる。

KRYLON(登録商標)スプレー塗料(FilmTools Gloss White Spray Paint#1501)を使用して、直径9cm×厚さ0.6cmのMonel多孔性フリット807にフィルタを付着させることにより、直径9cm、膜フィルタ0.22μm(混合セルロースエステル、Millipore GSWP,EMD Millipore Corp.,Billerica MA)を使用する。フリット/膜を使用前に乾燥させる。

Claims (5)
- トップシート、バックシート、及び吸収性コアを含む吸収性物品であって、前記吸収性コアが、流体分配層及び流体貯蔵層を含み、前記流体分配層が、身体に面する層および衣類に面する層を含む3層以上の層を含むカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布を含み、前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、吸収繊維、補剛繊維、及びフィラー繊維のブレンドを含み、前記吸収繊維が、前記衣類に面する層にはより多い重量割合で、前記身体に面する層にはより少ない重量割合で存在し、前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、熱剛化されており、前記3層以上の層が、接着剤なしで一体化されており、前記流体分配層が、2ミリメートル~4ミリメートルのキャリパーを有する、吸収性物品。
- 前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、
a)ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)から形成された中空螺旋状繊維を含む、10重量%~50重量%の補剛繊維であって、前記補剛繊維が、6dtex~15dtexの線密度を有する、補剛繊維と、
b)レーヨンから形成された三葉繊維を含む、10重量%~50重量%の吸収繊維であって、前記吸収繊維が、2dtex~6dtexの線密度を有する、吸収繊維と、
c)ポリプロピレン(PP)から形成された中実円形繊維を含む、1重量%~60%重量%のフィラー繊維であって、前記フィラー繊維が、3dtex以上の線密度を有する、フィラー繊維と、を含む、請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。 - 前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、
20重量%~30重量%の補剛繊維と、
10重量%~50重量%の吸収繊維と、
1重量%~80重量%のフィラー繊維と、を含む、請求項2に記載の吸収性物品。 - バックシートと、身体に面する表面、及び衣類に面する表面を有する流体分配層と、流体貯蔵層と、を含む吸収性物品であって、前記流体分配層が、身体に面する層および衣類に面する層を含む3層以上の層を含むカード処理されたステープル繊維不織布を含み、前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、セルロース繊維および二成分繊維を含むステープル繊維の組み合わせを含み、前記セルロース繊維が、前記衣類に面する層にはより多い重量割合で、前記身体に面する層にはより少ない重量割合で存在し、前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、熱剛化されており、前記3層以上の層が、接着剤なしで一体化されており、前記流体分配層が、2ミリメートル~4ミリメートルのキャリパーを有し、前記身体に面する表面上に位置する前記流体分配層の1つの層が、前記流体分配層の第2の層を越えて延在し、かつ前記バックシートに取り付けられている、吸収性物品。
- 前記カード処理されたステープル繊維不織布が、
20重量%~30重量%の補剛繊維と、
30重量%~50重量%の吸収繊維と、
1重量%~80重量%のフィラー繊維と、を含む、請求項4に記載の吸収性物品。
