Claims (30)
- 뮬라이트에 존재하는 원소들을 갖는 하나 이상의 전구체 화합물의 혼합물을 형성하는 단계(a),당해 혼합물을 미가공 다공성 성형품으로 성형하는 단계(b),미가공 다공성 성형품의 일부에 핵생성 조절제를 도포하는 단계(c) 및단계(c)의 미가공 다공성 성형품을 대기하에 필수적으로 화학적으로 결합된 뮬라이트 입자로 실질적으로 구성된 뮬라이트 조성물을 형성하기에 충분한 온도까지 가열하는 단계(d)(여기서, 당해 조성물은 실질적으로 상이한 미세 구조를 갖는 둘 이상의 인접 영역을 갖는다)를 포함하여, 뮬라이트 조성물을 제조하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 전구체 화합물이 점토, 알루미나, 실리카, 플루오로토파즈, 제올라이트, AlF3및 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 전구체 화합물이 점토, 알루미나, 실리카, 플루오로토파즈, 제올라이트 및 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 전구체 화합물이 알루미나와 점토와의 혼합물인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 핵생성 조절제가 고체 입자인 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 고체 입자가 뮬라이트이고, 전구체 화합물의 평균 입자 크기가 다공체 중의 전구체 화합물 또는 이들의 혼합물의 평균 입자 크기와 10배 상이한 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 고체 입자가 뮬라이트인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 가열이 플루오로토파즈가 형성되는 제1 온도까지 수행된 후, 뮬라이트가 형성되는 보다 높은 제2 온도까지 수행되는 방법.

- 필수적으로 화학적으로 결합되어 있는 뮬라이트 입자들로 실질적으로 구성된뮬라이트 조성물로서, 실질적으로 상이한 미세 구조를 갖는 둘 이상의 인접 영역을 갖는 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제13항에 있어서, 모든 입자가 필수적으로 위스커인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제13항에 있어서, Al2O3대 SiO2의 화학양론적 수치가 1.3 내지 3인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제15항에 있어서, 화학양론적 수치가 2.5 이하인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제16항에 있어서, 화학양론적 수치가 1.6 내지 1.85인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제14항에 있어서, 두 개의 인접 영역의 평균 공극 크기가 10배 이상 상이한 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제14항에 있어서, 인접 영역들 사이의 계면이 2mm 이하인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제19항에 있어서, 계면이 0.1mm 이하인 뮬라이트 조성물.
- 제13항의 뮬라이트 조성물로 구성된 자동차용 촉매 컨버터.
- 제21항에 있어서, 뮬라이트 조성물이 뮬라이트 입자 표면의 일부 또는 전체 위에 귀금속 워시코트(washcoat) 피막을 갖는 자동차용 촉매 컨버터.
- 제22항에 있어서, 귀금속 워시코트 피막의 두께가 피복된 입자의 평균 최소 크기의 두께의 1/2 이하인 자동차용 촉매 컨버터.
- 적어도 일부가 촉매로 피복되어 있는 제13항의 뮬라이트 조성물을 포함하는 입자 트랩-산화 촉매.
- 제24항에 있어서, 실질적으로 전체 뮬라이트 조성물이 촉매로 피복되어 있는 입자 트랩-산화 촉매.
- 제24항에 있어서, 뮬라이트 조성물이 두 개의 인접 영역으로 이루어지는 입자 트랩-산화 촉매.
- 제24항에 있어서, 귀금속 워시코트 피막인 입자 트랩-산화 촉매.
