Description
Claims (11)
- 각각 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되고, 또한 서로의 선택 반사 파장 대역이 다른 복수의 표시층이 적층된 다색 표시 장치에 있어서,적어도 1 개의 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향이 다른 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향과 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시층이 각각 청색, 녹색, 적색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 3층의 표시층인 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,녹색 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향이 청색 및 적색 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향과 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시층이 각각 청색, 녹색, 황색, 적색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 4층의 표시층인 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,청색 및 황색 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향이 서로 동일하고, 또한 녹색 및 적색 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향과 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 각각 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되고, 또한 서로의 선택 반사 파장 대역이 다른 복수의 표시층이 적층된 다색 표시 장치에 있어서,모든 표시층의 콜레스테릭 액정의 나선 비틀림 방향이 동일함과 동시에, 어떤 표시층과 이것에 인접하는 다른 표시층 사이에 원편광을 역방향으로 바꾸는 위상 보상층을 갖춘 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시층이 녹색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 제1 표시층과, 각각 청색 및 적색, 또는 적색 및 청색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 제2 및 제3 표시층으로 되는 3층의 표시층인 동시에, 제1 표시층과 제2 표시층 사이에 상기 위상 보상층을 갖춘 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시층이 각각 청색 및 황색, 또는 황색 및 청색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 제1 및 제2 표시층과, 각각 녹색 및 적색, 또는 적색 및 녹색을 선택 반사하는 콜레스테릭 액정으로 되는 제3 및 제4 표시층으로 되는 4층의 표시층인 동시에, 제2 표시층과 제3 표시층 사이에 상기 위상 보상층을 갖춘 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 각각 외부 자극의 유무 또는 정도에 따라서, 각각 청색, 녹색, 황색, 적색을 반사하는 상태와 무색 상태로 전환되는 4층의 표시층이 적층된 다색 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,관찰측으로부터 가장 먼 표시층이 적색을 반사하는 표시층인 동시에, 이것과 이것으로부터 관찰측에 하나 가까운 표시층 사이에, 적색을 투과하고 그 이외의 색광을 흡수하는 컬러 필터를 갖춘 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시층 각각이 1쌍의 전극 사이에 형성되고, 각각의 표시층마다 개별로 구동 전압이 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 다색 표시 장치.
