Description
Claims (19)
- 원통형벽 및 축을 갖는 원통형의 유체 챔버로서, 제 1 유체(A) 및 축방향으로 배치된 제 2 유체(B)를 갖고, 상기 제 1 유체와 상기 제 2 유체는 혼화불가능하고, 메니스커스(14)상에서 접촉하며 서로 다른 굴절률을 갖는 원통형의 유체 챔버와,상기 원통형벽의 내측에 배치된 유체 접촉층(10)과,상기 유체 접촉층에 의해 상기 제 1 유체 및 제 2 유체로부터 분리된 제 1 전극(2)과,상기 제 2 유체에 작용하는 제 2 전극(12)을 구비하는 가변 포커스 렌즈로서,상기 유체 접촉층은, 상기 제 1 전극(2)과 상기 제 2 전극(12)사이에 전압을 인가하는 것에 의해 상기 메니스커스의 형상이 변화하도록, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극 사이에 전압 인가하는 경우 변화하는 상기 제 2 유체에 의한 습윤성을 가지고 있고,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 상기 유체 접촉층의 습윤성은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압을 인가하지 않은 경우 상기 접촉층과 상기 메니스커스의 교차점의 양측에서 같고,상기 렌즈는 상기 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우 오목한 메니커스 형상을 생성하도록 배치되고, 상기 메니커스의 형상은 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극사이에 인가된 전압의 세기가 증가할 경우에 덜 오목해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 유체 접촉층의 내면은 선형 단면을 갖고,상기 유체 접촉층은 상기 원통의 축이 상기 선형 단면에 놓여있는 상기 원통의 단면에 직선을 형성하며, 상기 선형 단면은 10도 내에 상기 내면의 원통 형상의 축에 평행한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 절연성 액체를 포함하고, 상기 제 2 유체는 도전성 액체를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 증기를 포함하고 상기 제 2 유체는 도전성 액체를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 유체 접촉층은, 두께가 실질적으로 균일한 동종층인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 전극은 실질적으로 원통형인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 상기 제 2 유체보다 굴절률이 크고,상기 렌즈는 상기 메니스커스가 상기 제 1 유체에 관련하여 볼록한 경우에 포지티브 렌즈 배율을 갖도록, 포지티브 렌즈 배율을 제공하는 적어도 하나의 고정 렌즈 부재(104)를 갖는 복합 렌즈로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 청구항 1 내지 4 중 어느 한 항에 따른 렌즈를 포함하는 광학장치로서, 평행한 광선으로 이루어진 방사선을 입력하고 비제로 전압을 상기 제 1 및 제 2 전극 사이에 인가하는 경우, 상기 방사선이 포커싱 평면에 포커싱되도록 상기 렌즈가 배치되는 포커싱 평면(120)을 정의하는 수단을 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 청구항 1 내지 4 중 어느 한 항에 따른 렌즈를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 캡쳐장치.
- 청구항 1 내지 4 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 렌즈를 포함하는 광 기록매체를 주사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학주사장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 렌즈는, 주사되는 광 기록매체의 서로 다른 깊이의 정보층을 주사하는 동안 일어나는 구면수차를 보정하도록 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 광학주사장치.
- 원통형벽 및 축을 갖는 원통형의 유체 챔버로서, 제 1 유체(A)와 축방향으로 배치된 제 2 유체(B)를 갖고, 상기 제 1 유체와 상기 제 2 유체는 혼화불가능하고, 메니스커스(14)상에서 접촉하며 서로 다른 굴절률을 갖는 원통형의 유체 챔버와,상기 원통형벽의 내측에 배치된 유체 접촉층(10)과,상기 유체 접촉층에 의해 상기 제 1 유체 및 제 2 유체로부터 분리된 제 1 전극(2)과,상기 제 2 유체에 작용하는 제 2 전극(12)을 구비하는 가변 포커스 렌즈를 작동하는 방법으로서,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 상기 유체 접촉층의 습윤성은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압을 인가하지 않은 경우 상기 접촉층과 상기 메니스커스의 교차점의 양측에서 같고,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 상기 유체 접촉층의 습윤성이, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압을 인가하지 않은 경우 변화하고,상기 렌즈는 상기 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우 오목한 메니커스 형상을 생성하도록 배치되고, 상기 메니커스의 형상은 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극사이에 인가된 전압의 세기가 증가할 때에 덜 오목해지고,상기 방법은, 상기 전압을 제어하여 메니스커스의 형상을 변경하는 것을 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 방법은, 상기 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우, 상기 전압을 변화시켜 오목한 메니스커스 형상을 생기게 하는 것을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 13 항 또는 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 방법은, 상기 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우, 상기 전압을 변화시켜 볼록한 메니스커스 형상을 생기게 하는 것을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 메니스커스는, 100 내지 140도 사이의 유체 접촉층과 접촉각을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 복합 렌즈의 전방렌즈(104) 및 후방렌즈(106)의 내면은 보호층으로 도포되어 있고, 상기 전방렌즈 및 후방렌즈(104,106)에 의해 공간이 밀폐되어 있으며, 상기 원통형 유체 챔버(105)가 상기 제 1 및 제 2 유체(A,B)를 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 보호층은 반사방지특성도 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 유체(B)로부터 보았을 경우, 상기 제 2 유체는 상기 제 1 유체보다 낮은 표면 장력을 갖는 유체이고, 낮은 인가전압에서 메니스커스의 형상이 볼록해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
