Claims (16)
- 원통벽을 갖고, 혼화불가능하고 메니스커스(14) 상에 접촉하고 서로 다른 굴절률을 갖는 제 1 유체(A)와 축방향으로 변위하는 제 2 유체(B)를 함유하는 거의 원통형의 유체 챔버와,상기 원통벽의 내측에 배치된 유체 접촉층(10)과,상기 유체 접촉층에 의해 상기 제 1 유체 및 제 2 유체로부터 분리된 제 1 전극(2)과,상기 제 2 유체에 따라 작동하는 제 2 전극(12)을 구비하고,상기 유체 접촉층은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극 사이에서의 전압 인가하에 변화하는 상기 제 2 유체에 의해 유착성을 가져, 상기 전압에 따라 상기 메니스커스의 형상을 변화시키고,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 상기 유체 접촉층의 유착성은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압을 인가하지 않은 경우 상기 접촉층과 상기 메니스커스의 교차점의 양측면에서 거의 같은 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 유체 접촉층의 내면은 선형 단면이고, 상기 선형 단면은 10도 내에 상기 표면의 거의 원통 형상의 축에 평행한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 절연성 액체를 포함하고, 상기 제 2 유체는 도전성 액체를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 증기를 포함하고 상기 제 2 유체는 도전성 액체를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 렌즈는, 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우 오목한 메니스커스 형상을 생기게 하도록 배치되고, 그 형상은, 상기 제 1 전극과 제 2 전극간에 인가된 전압의 크기가 증가할 때 덜 오목해진 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 유체 접촉층은, 두께가 균일한 거의 동종층인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 전극은 거의 원통형인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 유체는 상기 제 2 유체보다 굴절률이 크고, 상기 렌즈는 포지티브 렌즈 배율을 제공하는 적어도 한 갱의 고정 렌즈부재(104)를 포함한 복합렌즈이므로, 상기 복합 렌즈는, 상기 메니스커스가 제 1 유체와 관련하여 볼록한 경우 포지티브 렌즈 배율을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 렌즈를 포함하고, 평행한 광선으로 이루어진 방사선을 입력하고 비제로 전압을 상기 제 1 및 제 2 전극 사이에 인가하는 경우, 그 방사선이 포커싱 평면에 포커싱되도록 상기 렌즈를 배치하는 경우 포커싱 평면(120)을 정의하는 수단을 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 선행하는 청구항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 렌즈를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 캡쳐장치.
- 청구항 1 내지 10 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 렌즈를 포함하는 광 기록매체를 주사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학주사장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 렌즈는, 주사되는 광 기록매체의 서로 다른 정보층 깊이의 주사동안 일어나는 구면수차를 보정하도록 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 광학주사장치.
- 원통벽을 갖고, 혼화불가능하고 메니스커스(14) 상에 접촉하고 서로 다른 굴절률을 갖는 제 1 유체(A)와 축방향으로 변위하는 제 2 유체(B)를 함유하는 거의 원통형의 유체 챔버와,상기 원통벽의 내측에 배치된 유체 접촉층(10)과,상기 유체 접촉층에 의해 상기 제 1 유체 및 제 2 유체로부터 분리된 제 1 전극(2)과,상기 제 2 유체에 따라 작동하는 제 2 전극(12)을 구비하고,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 상기 유체 접촉층의 유착성은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압을 인가하지 않은 경우 상기 접촉층과 상기 메니스커스의 교차점의 양측면에서 거의 같고,상기 제 2 유체에 의한 유체 접촉층의 유착성은, 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극간에 전압 인가하에 변화하고,상기 전압을 제어하여 메니스커스의 형상을 변경하는 것을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 방법은, 상기 전압을 변화시켜 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우 오목한 메니스커스 형상을 생기게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 13 항 또는 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 방법은, 상기 전압을 변화시켜 상기 제 2 유체로부터 보았을 경우 볼록한 메니스커스 형상을 생기게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 메니스커스는, 100 내지 140도 사이의 유체 접촉층과 접촉각을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 포커스 렌즈 작동방법.
