Abstract
Description
상기 복수의 화상표시 소자의 행에 대응해서 배치되는 복수의 화소제어선과,
상기 복수의 화소제어선에 접속되는 수직주사회로와,
수직주사의 시작을 지시하기 위한 주사시작신호 및 활성화 대상의 화소제어선의 활성화를 지시하기 위한 허가신호를 발생하고, 그 발생한 각 신호를 상기 수직주사회로에 출력하는 제어장치를 구비하며,
상기 화상표시부의 일부를 비 표시로 하는 부분 표시모드시, 또는, 상기 화상표시부를 복수의 블록으로 분할하여 셀프 리플래시 동작을 실행하는 부분 셀프 리플래시 동작시,
상기 제어장치는 상기 화상표시부에서의 화상을 비표시로 하는 비표시 영역의 크기에 대응하는 기간, 또는 상기 셀프 리플래시 동작이 실행되는 블록의 크기에 대응하는 기간, 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고,
상기 수직주사회로는, 상기 주사시작신호가 활성화되어 있는 기간의 길이에 따른 수의 화소제어선을 동시에 활성가능상태로 하고, 상기 활성가능상태에 있는 화소제어선에 대응하는 영역을 상기 비표시 영역 또는 상기 블록으로서, 상기 활성가능상태에 있는 화소제어선을 상기 허가신호의 활성화에 따라 동시에 활성화한다.
Claims (9)
- 행렬형으로 배치된 복수의 화상표시소자를 포함하는 화상표시부와,상기 복수의 화상표시 소자의 행에 대응해서 배치되는 복수의 화소제어선과,상기 복수의 화소제어선에 접속되는 수직주사회로와,수직주사의 시작을 지시하기 위한 주사시작신호 및 활성화 대상의 화소제어선의 활성화를 지시하기 위한 허가신호를 발생하고, 그 발생한 각 신호를 상기 수직주사회로에 출력하는 제어장치를 구비하며,상기 화상표시부의 일부를 비 표시로 하는 부분 표시모드시, 또는, 상기 화상표시부를 복수의 블록으로 분할하여 셀프 리플래시 동작을 실행하는 부분 셀프 리플래시 동작시,상기 제어장치는 상기 화상표시부에서의 화상을 비표시로 하는 비표시 영역의 크기에 대응하는 기간, 또는 상기 셀프 리플래시 동작이 실행되는 블록의 크기에 대응하는 기간, 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고,상기 수직주사회로는, 상기 주사시작신호가 활성화되어 있는 기간의 길이에 따른 수의 화소제어선을 동시에 활성가능상태로 하고, 상기 활성가능상태에 있는 화소제어선에 대응하는 영역을 상기 비표시 영역 또는 상기 블록으로서, 상기 활성가능상태에 있는 화소제어선을 상기 허가신호의 활성화에 따라 동시에 활성화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 수직주사회로는,상기 복수의 화소제어선에 대응해서 설치되고, 상기 화소제어선의 배열순으로 직렬로 접속되는 복수의 시프트 레지스터와,상기 허가신호가 활성화되어 있을 때, 출력이 활성화된 시프트 레지스터에 대응하는 상기 활성가능상태의 화소제어선을 활성화하는 출력제어회로를 포함하고,상기 복수의 시프트 레지스터는, 제1단째의 시프트 레지스터에 상기 주사시작신호를 수신하고, 클록신호에 동기해서 상기 주사시작신호를 후단의 시프트 레지스터에 순차적으로 시프트하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 제어장치는,통상동작시, 상기 클록신호의 1주기만 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고, 상기 클록신호에 동기해서 상기 허가신호를 활성화하며,상기 부분표시모드시, 상기 화상표시부에 표시되는 화상의 1 프레임 내에 있어서 상기 클록신호의 복수 주기분만 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고, 상기 비표시영역에 대응하는 각 시프트 레지스터의 출력이 동시에 활성화되는 타이밍으로 상기 허가신호를 활성화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 화상표시부는, 프레임 반전구동되고,상기 제어장치는, 상기 부분표시모드시, 상기 클록신호의 복수 주기분에 상당하는 기간, 상기 주사시작신호를 연속하여 활성화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 제어장치는, 상기 복수의 시프트 레지스터의 각각의 내부상태를 리셋트하기 위한 리셋트 신호를 더 출력하고, 상기 부분표시모드시, 상기 허가신호의 활성화 후에 상기 리셋트 신호를 활성화하며,상기 복수의 시프트 레지스터의 각각은, 상기 리셋트 신호의 활성화에 따라 내부상태를 리셋트하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 화상표시부는, 라인반전구동되고,상기 제어장치는, 상기 부분표시모드시, 상기 클록신호에 동기해서 상기 주사시작신호의 활성화/불활성화를 복수회 교대로 반복하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 복수의 화소제어선의 각각은, 대응하는 화상표시소자에 상기 셀프 리플래시 동작을 지시하기 위한 제어신호선을 포함하고,상기 제어장치는,통상동작시, 상기 클록신호의 1주기만 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고, 상기 클록신호에 동기해서 상기 허가신호를 활성화하며,상기 부분 셀프 리플래시 동작시, 상기 화상표시부에 표시되는 화상의 1프레임 내에 있어서 상기 클록신호의 복수 주기분만 상기 주사시작신호를 활성화하고, 상기 리플래시 영역에 대응하는 각 시프트 레지스터의 출력이 동시에 활성화되는 타이밍으로 상기 허가신호를 활성화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 화상표시부는, 프레임 반전구동되고,상기 제어장치는, 상기 부분 셀프 리플래시 동작시, 상기 클록신호의 복수 주기분에 상당하는 기간, 상기 주사시작신호를 연속하여 활성화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 화상표시부는, 라인반전구동되고,상기 제어장치는, 상기 부분 셀프 리플래시 동작시, 상기 클록신호에 동기해서 상기 주사시작신호의 활성화/불활성화를 복수회 교대로 반복하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
