Claims (5)
- 대략 매트릭스 형상으로 배치되는 복수의 화소의 행에 할당되는 복수의 게이트선을 구동하는 게이트선 구동 회로로서,상기 복수의 게이트선을 계조 표시용으로 하나의 게이트선 단위로 선택하고, 상기 복수의 게이트선을 비계조 표시용으로 적어도 2개의 인접 게이트선으로 이루어지는 그룹 단위로 선택하는 시프트 레지스터부와,상기 시프트 레지스터부에 의해 선택된 게이트선에 구동 신호를 출력하는 출력 회로를 구비하고,상기 출력 회로는 상기 시프트 레지스터부에 의해 비계조 표시용으로 선택된 그룹에 포함되어 이 그룹 외의 비선택 게이트선에 용량 결합한 상태에 있는 화소의 행을 따른 특정 게이트선에 대한 구동 신호의 출력 기간을 이 그룹에 포함되는 다른 게이트선에 대한 구동 신호의 출력 기간보다도 짧게 하도록 구성되는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 시프트 레지스터부는 계조 표시용으로 제1 클럭 신호에 응답하여 제1 스타트 신호를 시프트하는 제1 시프트 레지스터와, 비계조 표시용으로 제1 클럭 신호에 동기한 제2 클럭 신호에 응답하여 제2 스타트 신호를 시프트하는 제2 시프트 레지스터를 포함하고, 상기 출력 회로는 상기 제1 시프트 레지스터에 의해 선택되 는 게이트선에 대하여 제1 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 구동 신호를 출력하고, 상기 제2 시프트 레지스터에 의해 선택되는 상기 특정 게이트선에 대하여 제2 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 구동 신호를 출력하고, 상기 제2 시프트 레지스터에 의해 선택되는 상기 다른 게이트선에 대하여 제3 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 구동 신호를 출력하도록 구성되고, 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호의 지속 기간이 제3 출력 인에이블 신호의 지속 기간보다도 짧게 설정되는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 출력 회로는 각각 상기 제1 시프트 레지스터로부터 계조 표시용으로 얻어지는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 제1 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 출력하는 복수의 제1 AND 게이트 회로, 각각 상기 제2 시프트 레지스터로부터 비계조 표시용으로 얻어지는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 상기 제2 및 제3 출력 인에이블 신호의 한 쪽의 제어에 의해 출력하는 복수의 제2 AND 게이트 회로, 각각 상기 복수의 제1 AND 게이트 회로의 하나 및 상기 복수의 제2 AND 게이트 회로의 하나로부터 입력되는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 출력하는 복수의 OR 게이트 회로, 및 상기 복수의 OR 게이트 회로 각각으로부터 출력되는 선택 신호를 레벨 시프트함으로써 상기 구동 신호로 변환하는 레벨 시프터를 포함하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 복수의 게이트선이 비계조 표시용으로 2개의 인접 게이트선으로 이루어지는 그룹 단위로 선택되는 경우에, 상기 복수의 제2 AND 게이트 회로는 각각 대응 홀수번째의 게이트선에 할당되고 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호에 의해 제어되는 복수의 AND 게이트 회로, 및 각각 대응 짝수번째의 게이트선에 할당되어 상기 제3 출력 인에이블 신호에 의해 제어되는 복수의 AND 게이트 회로로 이루어지는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 대략 매트릭스 형상으로 배치되는 복수의 화소 전극의 행에 할당되어 비할당 행의 화소 전극에 용량 결합하는 복수의 게이트선을 구동하는 게이트선 구동 회로로서,1 수직 주사 기간에서 상기 복수의 게이트선을 계조 표시용으로 1개의 게이트선 단위로 순차 선택하고, 상기 수직 주사 기간에 대략 동일한 기간에서 상기 복수의 게이트선을 비계조 표시용으로 적어도 2개의 인접 게이트선 단위로 순차 선택하는 선택부와,상기 선택부에 의해 선택된 게이트선에 구동 신호를 출력하는 출력부를 구비하고,상기 출력부는 상기 인접 게이트선이 비계조 표시용으로 동시에 선택된 경우에 상기 인접 게이트선에 출력되는 구동 신호의 정지 타이밍을 어긋나게 하여 용량 결합의 영향을 균등화하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
