Description
Claims (6)
- 복수의 OCB 액정 화소에 할당되는 복수의 게이트선을 구동하는 게이트선 구동 회로로서,상기 구동 회로는 상기 복수의 게이트선에 대하여 구동 신호를 출력하는 출력 회로를 포함하고,상기 출력 회로는,상기 복수의 게이트선을 분할한 적어도 2 그룹의 각각을 선택하는 선택부와,상기 선택부에 의해서 선택되는 그룹의 게이트선에 대하여 구동 신호를 출력하는 출력부를 포함하고,상기 선택부는 전원 투입에 수반하여 복수의 OCB 액정 화소를 스프레이 배향으로부터 벤드 배향으로 전이시키는 초기화에서 적어도 2 그룹의 게이트선을 서로 다른 타이밍에서 선택하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 선택부는 상기 초기화에서 서로 다른 타이밍에서 입력되는 적어도 2 그룹 선택 신호의 각각에 응답하여 대응 그룹의 게이트선에 구동 신호를 출력하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 초기화 후에 상기 복수의 게이트선을 계조 표시용 및 비계조 표시용으로 각각 선택하는 시프트 레지스터부를 더 포함하고,상기 출력 회로는 상기 시프트 레지스터부에 의해 선택되는 게이트선에 대하여 구동 신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 시프트 레지스터부는상기 제1 클럭 신호에 응답하여 제1 스타트 신호를 시프트하는 제1 시프트 레지스터와,제1 클럭 신호에 동기한 제2 클럭 신호에 응답하여 제2 스타트 신호를 시프트하는 제2 시프트 레지스터를 포함하고,상기 출력 회로는 상기 제1 시프트 레지스터에 의해 선택된 게이트선에 대하여 제1 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 구동 신호를 출력하며, 또한 상기 제2 시프트 레지스터에 의해 선택된 게이트선에 대하여 제2 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 구동 신호를 출력하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 출력 회로는각각 상기 제1 시프트 레지스터로부터 계조 표시용으로 얻어지는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 제1 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 출력하는 복수의 제1 AND 게이트 회로,각각 상기 제2 시프트 레지스터로부터 상기 흑 삽입용으로 얻어지는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 제2 출력 인에이블 신호의 제어에 의해 출력하는 복수의 제2 AND 게이트 회로,각각 상기 복수의 제1 AND 게이트 회로의 1개 및 상기 복수의 제2 AND 게이트 회로의 1개로부터 입력되는 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호를 출력하고, 또한 각각 대응 그룹 선택 신호를 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호로서 출력하는 복수의 OR 게이트 회로, 및상기 복수의 OR 게이트 회로의 각각으로부터 출력되는 선택 신호를 레벨 시프트함으로써 상기 구동 신호로 변환하는 레벨 시프터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 복수의 OR 게이트 회로는제1 그룹 선택 신호를 홀수번째의 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호로서 상기 레벨 시프터에 입력하는 복수의 홀수번째용 OR 게이트 회로, 및제2 그룹 선택 신호를 짝수번째의 대응 게이트선의 선택 신호로서 상기 레벨 시프터에 입력하는 복수의 짝수번째용 OR 게이트 회로로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 게이트선 구동 회로.
