Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- 소결된 초경합금 또는 서멧, 세라믹 또는 고속도강 기판의 몸체를 포함하여 이루어지며, 적어도 상기 몸체의 표면의 작용부에 0.5 내지 20㎛의 두껍고, 접착성 있고, 경질이고, 내마모성인 코팅이 적용되어 있고, 상기 코팅은, 하나 이상의 층이 0.5 내지 15㎛의 두께로, 코팅될 공구 몸체의 재료에 따라, 450 내지 700℃ 범위의 기판 온도에서 10 W/㎠ 이상의 시간 평균당 마그네트론 타겟 동력 밀도로 반응성, 펄스된 마그네트론 스퍼터링 기술에 의해 증착된, 하나 이상의 내화화합물 층의 구조를 포함하여 이루어지고, 이에 의하여 상기 코팅은 필수적으로 입자 크기가 0.1㎛미만인 매우 미세-입자 결정성인 γ-Al2O3-상으로 구성되고, 상기 매우 미세-입자 결정성인 γ-Al2O3-층은 하나 이상의 (440) 및 (400) 결정면으로부터 두드러진 X-선 회절 반사를 나타내며, 20 GPa 이상의 경도, 1GPa 이상의 압축응력을 가지고, 할로겐 불순물이 없는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 미세 입자 결정성인 γ-Al2O3-층이 Al2O3-다형체의 γ-계열로부터 부가적 알루미나상 부분(XRD-기술로 검출 가능)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 3항에 있어서, 상기 부가적 알루미나상이 θ-상인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 금속 원소가 Ti, Nb, Hf, V, Ta, Mo, Zr, Cr, W 및 Al에서 선택된 금속 질화물, 금속 탄화물, 또는 금속 질화물 및 금속 탄화물을 포함하여 이루어지는, 두께 0.1 내지 10㎛의 층을 하나 이상 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 층이 TiC, TiCN, TiN 또는 TiAlN으로 이루어지는 것 을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 외층이 Al2O3인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 외층이 TiN인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항에 따른 미세-입자 결정성인 γ-Al2O3로 이루어진 하나 이상의 내화층이, 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의해 진공에서 이동하는 기판에 증착되고, 코팅될 공구 몸체의 재료에 따라, 상기 Al2O3-층은 1 내지 5μbar의 압력의 아르곤 및 산소의 가스 혼합물 내에서 반응성, 펄스된 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의해 증착되고, 펄스 주파수는 10 내지 100kHz로 설정되고, 고정 배열 기판에 대하여 1nm/s이상의 속도로 증착되고, 시간 평균당 마그네트론 타겟 동력 밀도는 10W/㎠이상으로 설정되고, 상기 기판 온도는 450 내지 700℃의 범위로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭 공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 Al2O3-층이, 마그네트론 스퍼터링 장치의 캐소드 및 애노드로 교대로 스위치되는 Al 타겟을 사용한 두 개의 마그네트론의 스퍼터링에 의해 증착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 9항 또는 제 10항에 있어서, 부가적, 비-Al2O3-층이 또한 PVD 공정(물리적 증착), 특히 펄스된 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의해 증착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, Al2O3 및 비-Al2O3-층(들)의 모든 층들이 진공 중단 없이 동일한 코팅 장치 내에 증착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 9항 또는 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 부가적, 비-Al2O3-층이 CVD 공정(화학적 증착)에 의해 증착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 몸체의 표면의 작용부에 적용된 코팅 두께가 1 내지 15㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 하나 이상의 층이 1 내지 10㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 기판 온도가 550 내지 650℃ 범위에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 층의 두께가 0.5 내지 5㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭공구.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 펄스 주파수가 50kHz로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭 공구의 제조 방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 기판 온도가 550 내지 650℃범위에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 코팅된 절삭 공구의 제조 방법.
