Abstract

특히 내연기관의 흡기공기를 위한 공기 여과기가 제안된다.
이 공기 여과기는 하우징(13), 하우징 내에 배치된 공기 여과기 삽입재(16), 그리고 하우징(13)을 밀폐하는 덮개(10) 등으로 구성된다. 공기 여과기 삽입재(16)은 주변-밀봉부(18)을 갖는 필수적으로 사각형인 카트리지로 형성되어 있다. 이 밀봉부(18)은 여과되지 않은 공기의 영역이 여과된 공기의 영역으로부터 분리되도록 하는 형식으로 하우징(13)과 덮개(10)의 사이에 죄어져 있다. 이에 더하여, 하우징 위의 덮개의 고정, 그리고 따라서 그와 함께 하우징 내에서 카트리지의 고정이 허용되도록 하는 잠금요소(19)가 제공된다.

Description

내연 기관의 흡입 공기용 공기 필터
본 발명은 공기 필터, 특히 내연 기관의 흡입 공기용 공기 필터에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 이러한 공기 필터는 하우징 및 커버로 구성되며, 이 경우에는 공기 필터 삽입체가 하우징 내에 배치된다. 공기 필터 삽입체는 하우징 내에 실링되어 배치되며, 일반적으로 플라스틱으로 이루어지는 2개의 하우징부는 서로 고정된다.
플라스틱 하우징부의 경우에는 일시적으로 편평하지 않은 지지면을 서로에 대해 내리누르기 위하여 특히, 플라스틱인 경우에 매우 높은 장력이 가해져야 하는 단점이 있었다. 또한, 이것은 강한 결합력에도 불구하고 실링을 신뢰할 수 없으며, 따라서 누출 공기가 흡입되는 결과를 초래하였다.
따라서 본 발명의 목적은 상술한 단점이 회피되며, 공기 필터의 미여과 공기측과 여과 공기측 사이에 신뢰할 수 있는 실링을 형성하기 위하여, 단지 낮은 장력만이 요구되는 공기 필터를 제공하는 것이다.
상기 목적은 주 청구항의 특징부에 의해 달성된다.
본 발명의 장점은 하우징 상의 커버의 지지가 종래의 경우와 같이 실링되어야 하는 전체면에 걸쳐 일어나는 것이 아니라, 단지 잠금 요소 영역에서만 일어난다는 점이다. 나머지 영역에서는 하우징과 커버 사이에 최소의 간격이 존재함으로써 요철(unevenness)에 대한 일정한 공차가 허용될 수 있도록 되어 있다.
커버와 하우징 사이에 죄어져 고정되는 필터 삽입체의 상대적으로 부드러운 시일부로 인하여, 신뢰할 수 있는 걸림이 전체 실링 영역에 걸쳐 일어난다.
상기 경우에 있어서, 필터 삽입체의 시일부는 일측에서는 하우징에 고정되며 타측에서는 커버의 그루브 내로 연장되는 형태로 구성된다. 상기 커버의 그루브는시일부에 선택된 공차 범위 내에서 충분한 이탈 공간(escape space)을 제공하기 위하여 충분한 챔버 체적(chamber volume)을 갖는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 특징과 본 발명의 바람직한 또 다른 실시예에 의한 다른 특징들은 명세서 및 도면뿐만 아니라 청구범위를 통해서도 이해될 수 있으며, 이 경우 개개의 특징들은 분리되어 실시될 수 있거나, 또는 본 발명의 실시예 및 다른 분야의 경우에 있어서 세부 조합(subcombination)의 형태로 실시될 수 있고, 본 명세서에서 보호가 요구되는, 유익하며 독립적으로 특허 가능한 구성을 나타낸다. 본 발명에 따른 실시예들은 도면에 도시되며 이하, 상세히 설명될 것이다.
제 1 도는 커버, 및 하우징으로의 접속면 영역에 있어서 공기 필터의 상부를 도시한다. 상기 커버(10)는 예를 들어, 직사각형 형태를 가질 수 있으며, 주변 실링그루브(11)를 구비한다. 상기 커버는 미리 정해진 위치에 설치되는 지지부(12)를 구비한다. 상기 지지부는 소형 지지 블럭(small bearing blocks)의 형태로 구성된다.
제 2 도는 커버를 위한 접속면 영역에 있어서 공기 필터를 위한 하우징을 도시한다. 상기 하우징(13)은 또한 접속면 영역에 수용 그루브(14)를 구비한다. 또한, 고정 요소(15)는 소형 지지 블럭(12)의 반대편에 설치된다.
제 3 도는 공기 필터 삽입체(16)의 평면도 및 단면도이다. 상기 공기 필터 삽입체(16)는 주변 시일부(18)를 수반하는, 아코디언처럼 접철된(accordion-folded) 필터 페이퍼, 또는 필터 부직포(17; nonwoven)로 형성된다. 상기 시일부(18)는 예를 들어 발포 성형재와 같은, 발포재, 탄성재 또는 발포 탄성재로형성되며, 약 7 보다 큰 쇼어 경도(shore hardness)를 갖는다. 상기 공기 필터 삽입체는 커버(10)에 삽입되며, 이 경우에 시일부(18)는 시일 그루브(11) 내로 연장된다.

Claims (6)

  1. 하우징(13)과, 상기 하우징 내에 배치되는 공기 필터 삽입체(16)와, 상기 하우징을 폐쇄하는 커버(10)로 구성되는, 내연 기관의 흡입 공기용 공기 필터에 있어서,
    상기 공기 필터 삽입체(16)는 주변 시일부(18)를 갖는 직사각형 카트리지로 되어 있으며, 상기 시일부(18)는 하우징(13) 및 커버(10) 사이에서 죄어져서 미여과 공기 공간을 여과 공기 공간으로부터 분리시키며, 잠금 요소(19)가 설치되어 상기 하우징(13) 상의 커버를 고정시킴과 동시에, 상기 공기 필터 삽입체(16)를 하우징(13) 내에 고정시킬 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 공기 필터.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 하우징(13) 상의 커버(10)는 잠금 요소(19)의 한정된 영역에서만 지지되는 것을 특징으로 하는 공기 필터.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 시일부(18)는 7 내지 20의 범위의 쇼어 경도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 공기 필터.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 시일부(18)는 성형재 시일부(profile seal)인 것을 특징으로 하는 공기필터.
  5. 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 커버(10) 또는 하우징(13) 내의 시일부(18)를 위한 수용 그루브(11)는 커버(10) 및 하우징(13)이 밀폐되는 경우에 상기 시일부(18)가 이탈될 수 있는 크기의 쳄버 체적을 갖는 것을 그 특징으로 하는 공기 필터.
  6. 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 커버(10) 및 하우징(13)의 사이에는 공차 간격(20)이 잠금 요소(19)의 범위 외측에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 공기 필터.
