Claims (11)
- 透明状態となり得る表示領域と前記表示領域の外側に設けられた額縁領域とを有する表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの正面側に配置された第1の透光性カバーを含む少なくとも1つの透光性カバーとを備え、
前記第1の透光性カバーは、前記表示パネルの前記額縁領域の一部と、前記額縁領域の前記一部に隣接する前記表示領域内の周辺表示領域の一部とを含む領域に重なる位置に配置されたレンズ部を有し、
前記表示パネルの少なくとも側面に配置された筐体部を有する筐体をさらに備え、
前記筐体部の正面側には、前記周辺表示領域の前記一部から出射された光の一部および/または背面側から入射する光の一部が出射される、直視型の表示装置。 - 前記筐体部は透光性であり、前記筐体部の外側端面は、前記第1の透光性カバーの前記レンズ部の外側端部の外側にある、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1の透光性カバーの前記レンズ部は、前記レンズ部の外側端部が、前記筐体部の外側端面の正面側に存在するように配置されている、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記筐体と前記第1の透光性カバーとは一体に形成されている、請求項2または3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記筐体と前記第1の透光性カバーとは一体に形成されており、
前記筐体部の正面側表面と背面側表面との少なくとも一部はレンズ面である、請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記筐体部は、前記筐体部の前記正面側表面が、前記レンズ部の前記正面側表面と境界を形成するように設けられており、
前記境界は、前記額縁領域の前記一部の正面側にあり、
前記筐体部の前記正面側表面はレンズ面である、請求項5に記載の表示装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの透光性カバーは、前記表示パネルの背面側に配置された第2の透光性カバーをさらに含み、
前記第2の透光性カバーは、前記表示パネルの前記額縁領域の一部と、前記額縁領域の前記一部に隣接する前記表示領域内の周辺表示領域の一部とを含む領域に重なる位置に配置されたレンズ部を有し、
前記筐体部の背面側には、前記周辺表示領域の前記一部から出射された光の一部および/または正面側から入射する光の一部が出射される、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1の透光性カバーと前記第2の透光性カバーは前記表示パネルを中心に、略対称に配置されている、請求項7に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1の透光性カバーと前記第2の透光性カバーとは略等しい形状を有している、請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルは、高分子分散型液晶表示パネルである、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルは、有機EL表示パネルである、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
