図1は本発明の一実施の形態によるPDPの構成を示す断面斜視図である。PDP1の前面板2には、0.5mm以上2.0mm以下の厚さを有する高歪点のフロートガラスなどのガラス基板からなる絶縁性の前面ガラス基板3上に、走査電極4と維持電極5とからなる表示電極6が複数形成されている。表示電極6を覆うように誘電体層7を形成し、さらにその誘電体層7上にMgOからなる保護層8が形成されている。なお、走査電極4および維持電極5は、それぞれ放電電極となる透明電極4a、5a、およびこの透明電極4a、5aに電気的に接続されたCr/Cu/CrまたはAgなどからなるバス電極4b、5bとから構成されている。
図1は本発明の一実施の形態によるPDPの構成を示す断面斜視図である。PDP1の前面板2には、0.5mm以上2.0mm以下の厚さを有する高歪点のフロートガラスなどのガラス基板からなる絶縁性の前面ガラス基板3上に、走査電極4と維持電極5とからなる表示電極6が複数形成されている。表示電極6を覆うように誘電体層7を形成し、さらにその誘電体層7上にMgOからなる保護層8が形成されている。なお、走査電極4および維持電極5は、それぞれ放電電極となる透明電極4a、5a、およびこの透明電極4a、5aに電気的に接続されたCr/Cu/CrまたはAgなどからなるバス電極4b、5bとから構成されている。

Claims (3)
- 一対のガラス基板を対向配置して画像表示領域と非画像表示領域を形成し、前記非画像表示領域の前記ガラス基板の周縁をシール層で封着した封着部を有するプラズマディスプレイパネルであって、
前記ガラス基板の少なくとも一方の板厚が0.5mm以上2.0mm以下であるとともに、前記シール層を、前記ガラス基板の周縁を前記シール層で封着する際の封着温度より30℃から70℃低い軟化点温度を有するガラス材料で構成していることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネル。 - 前記ガラス基板の板厚が1.4mm以上2.0mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネル。
- 前記ガラス材料が無鉛ガラス組成物であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネル。
