Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a double-ply plated steel sheet for soldering having superior solderability and corrosion resistance by successively plating the surface of a steel sheet with Zn or a Zn alloy having a lower electric potential than Fe and with a metal having a higher electric potential than Zn, e.g., Fe, Ni or Co and by further carrying out plating with a metal such as Zn, Sn or Cu as required. CONSTITUTION:When a multiply plated steel sheet for soldering is produced, the surface of a steel sheet is plated with low-cost Zn or a low-cost Zn alloy contg. one or more among Ni, Co, Fe, Cu and Sn by 1-50g/m<2>. The Zn alloy has a lower electric potential than Fe. The plated surface is then plated with Fe, Ni, Co or an alloy of two more more among Fe, Ni and Co by 0.1-10g/m<2>. The alloy may further contain <=10% Zn, Sn, etc. Plating with Zn, Sn, Cu, an alloy of two or more among Zn, Sn and Cu or an alloy contg. one or more among Pb, Co and Ni is further carried out by 0.05-5g/m<2> as required.
