Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a Cu alloy with superior strength and ductility for electric apparatus by adding a specified amount of Fe, Co, Zr, V, etc. to a spinodal decomposition type Cu-Ni-Sn alloy.
CONSTITUTION: To a Cu alloy contg. 3W15wt% Ni and 3W10wt% Sn is added 0.05W1.0wt% in total of one or more among 0.05W2.0wt% Fe, 0.05W1.0wt% Co, 0.05W1.0wt% Zr and 0.05W0.50wt% V. Thus, the ductility of the spinodal decomposition type Cu-Ni-Sn alloy is remarkably enhanced without lowering the high strength, and a Cu alloy about equal to beryllium copper in strength and superior to it in ductility is obtd. at a low cost.
