Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a Cu alloy with superior wear resistance by preparing an alloy consisting of Cu, Al, Mn, Si, Ni, Fe, Sn, Pb and Zn in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy is prepared consisting of, by wt., 54W66% Cu, 1.0W 5.0% Al, 1.0W5.0% Mn, 0.2W1.5% Si, 0.5W4.0% Ni, 0.1W2.0% Fe, 0.2W2.0% Sn, 0.2W1.5% Pb with the balance Zn. By especially adding Pb to the components of a Cu alloy, machinability can be provided.
