Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance of Fe-Si-Al alloy of high magnetic permeability without deteriorating its magnetic characteristics, by adding specific quantities of Cr and V to the alloy.
CONSTITUTION: To Fe-Si-Al alloy of high magnetic permeability contg. 2W10wt% Al, 4W12wt% Si is added 0.1W2wt% Cr, 0.1W6wt% V. Or as assistant components in addition, one or more members among 0.1W3% Ni, Mo, W, Nb, Ta, Ti, and Cu, 0.01W1% Sn, Pb, B, Zr, Au, Ag, rate earth elements, and platinum group elements, 0.1W5% Mn, and Co, 0.01W7% in total quantity, are added. Composite addition of Cr and V allows to improve corrosion resistance, and wear resistance still more even with a small amount of Cr.
