525,597. Soldering electric conductors. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP POPE'S METAALDRAADLAMPENFABRIEK. May 13, 1939, No. 14369. Convention date, May 16, 1938. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In soft soldering flexible electric-conductors for wireless sets, telephone exchanges &c. one conductor is placed in contact with an insulated conductor, the insulation being of resilient organic material which melts during soldering, congeals during subsequent cooling and remains in the neighbourhood of the joint, and soft solderings then effected through the insulation. Uncoated electric connections installed in an electric apparatus may be coated with such insulation when further conductors are to be soldered thereto. The organic material may contain a flux such as dammar resin or colophony. One material may consist of 160 grams of benzyl cellulose, 125 ccs. of ethyl alcohol, 500 ccs. benzol and 20 ccs. tricresyl phosphate. A further material may consist of 16 grains of cellulose acetobutyrate dissolved in a mixture of 60 ccs. benzol, 30 ccs. acetone, 20 ccs. ethylalcohol and 6 ccs. of a solution of 50 grams of dammar resin in 12.5 ccs. of toluol and 37.5 ccs. of ethylalcohol.
