[Class 140] In making an impregnated paper-insulated cable, the paper is dried prior to the impregnating process by subjecting it to heat and vacuum in the presence of rosin as described in Specification 492,832 and subsequently impregnated with a cable impregnating compound containing rosin, which may take place after its application to the conductor.
