Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は光フアイバ素線とこの素線を保護し、
素線の軸方向の移動をさまたげないような中空保
護部材(以下チユーブ)を有する光フアイバコー
ドを用いた光フアイバコネクタに関する。
従来この種の光フアイバコードは、第1図およ
び第2図に示すように、光フアイバ素線1とこれ
を保護するチユーブ2とが固定されていないため
光フアイバ素線1がわずかな力で自由にチユーブ
2内を移動する。このため、このような光フアイ
バコードを用いてコネクタを組立てる場合、フア
イバ素線1をピンセツト6等で動かないようおさ
えつけねばならない。しかし光フアイバ素線1は
機械的強度が極めて小さいため、上述のようにお
さえつけた場合、フアイバ素線が折れたり傷つい
たりする。
本発明の目的は上述の欠点を除去した光フアイ
バコネクタを提供することにある。
次に本発明を図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
第3図は、本発明の一実施例を示す断面図であ
る。図において、光フアイバコードは、光フアイ
バ素線1、チユーブ2、耐張力部材3、外装被覆
部材4から構成されている。光フアイバ素線1よ
りやや大きな穴径とチユーブ2の外径とほぼ等し
い外径を有するガラスやエポキシからなる円筒部
材7を素線1に通し、チユーブ2の先端に配置す
る。次に、この円筒部材7と素線1とを固着剤8
にて固着する。このあと、このコードを端末部材
5に取付けてコネクタを構成する。このような構
成により前述の光フアイバコードを用いてコネク
タを組立る場合、フアイバ素線1がチユーブ2内
に引込まれることなく端末部材5内に挿入でき
る。
以上のように、本発明では素線をピンセツトま
たは指などで直接つかむ必要がないため折損事故
や損傷等が生じない。
なお、光フアイバ素線1とチユーブ2とからな
る心線を用いる場合には、第3図cに示す端末部
材50が用いられる。

第1図および第2図は従来の光コネクタを説明
するための断面図および第3図a〜cは本発明の
一実施例を示す組立断面図である。 第1図〜第3図において、1……光フアイバ素
線、2……第1のチユーブ、3……耐張力部材、
4……外被チユーブ、5……端末部材、6……ピ
ンセツト、7……円筒部材、8……固着剤。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 光を導波する光フアイバ素線と、該素線の軸
    方向の移動をさまたげないように前記光フアイバ
    素線を被覆して保護する中空保護部材とからなる
    光フアイバ心線と、前記光フアイバ素線の外径よ
    りわずかに大きい内径と、前記中空保護部材の外
    径にほぼ等しい外径とを有し、前記中空保護部材
    の先端から露出した光フアイバ素線に固定された
    円筒部材と、前記光フアイバ素線の先端部が挿入
    される第1の穴と、前記円筒部材及び前記中空保
    護部材が嵌合する第2の穴とを有する端末部材
    と、前記光フアイバ素線先端部、前記円筒部材及
    び前記中空保護部材がそれぞれ前記端末部材の前
    記第1及び第2の穴に固定された光フアイバコネ
    クタ。 2 光を導波する光フアイバ素線と、該素線の軸
    方向の移動をさまたげないように前記光フアイバ
    素線を被覆して保護する中空保護部材とからなる
    光フアイバ心線と、該心線の外周を耐張力部材や
    外装被覆部材等で覆つた光フアイバコードと、前
    記光フアイバ素線の外径よりわずかに大きい内径
    と、前記中空保護部材の外径にほぼ等しい外径を
    有し、前記中空保護部材の先端から露出した光フ
    アイバ素線に固定された円筒部材と、前記光フア
    イバ素線の先端部が挿入される第1の穴と、前記
    円筒部材及び前記中空保護部材が嵌合する第2の
    穴と、前記耐張力部材及び前記外装被覆部材が嵌
    合する第3の穴とを有する端末部材と、前記光フ
    アイバ素線先端部、前記円筒部材及び前記中空保
    護部材、前記耐張力部材及び前記外装被覆部材が
    それぞれ前記端末部材の前記第1、第2及び第3
    の穴に固定された光フアイバコネクタ。
