Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は自動車用ウインドモールデイングに関
するものである。
一般に自動車においては、第１図ないし第３図
に示すように車体１のウインド開口２の車体一般
面より落し込んだフランジ２′にウインドガラス
３の周縁部が接着剤４により接着固定され、樹脂
製のウインドモールデイング５はその脚部５ａが
前記車体１の開口２内周壁２ａとウインドガラス
３の端縁との間隙を通して前記接着剤４に差し込
まれて固定され、頭部５ｂがウインドガラス３の
端末と車体１の開口２内周縁との間隙を覆う構造
となつている。なお、６はダムラバーである。
（このような構造は米国特許等4165119号明細書に
見られる。） しかしながらかかる構造にあつては、ウインド
モールデイング５の頭部５ｂの一側縁とこれが密
接するウインド開口２の内周縁との間に砂、ほこ
り等が侵入し、他方走行時発生する車体のネジ
レ、振動等により前記頭部５ｂの一側縁とウイン
ド開口２の内周縁とが相対運動し、この際上記侵
入した砂、ほこり等により車体塗膜面に傷をつけ
てしまい錆の原因となるものである。
本発明はかかる実状に鑑みなされたもので、頭
部の裏面にリツプを突設し、このリツプを前記ウ
インド開口内周壁に接着部材により接合すること
により、ウインドモールデイングと車体との相対
運動をなくすとともに、モールデイングと車体パ
ネルとの間への砂、ほこり等の侵入を防止し、も
つて車体塗膜面の発錆を防止した自動車用ウイン
ドモールデイングを提供する。
以下第４図を参照して本発明の一実施例を従来
と同一の部品には同一の符号を付して説明する。
本発明においては、ウインドモールデイング５
の頭部５ｂの裏面に長手方向に延びるリツプ７を
突設し、このリツプ７の外側面を車体１の開口２
の内周壁２ａにシーリング剤又は両面テープ等の
接着部材８により接合する。
第５図は接着部材８がシーリング剤の場合、該
シーリング剤が接合部から流出することを防止す
るため、リツプ７の内周壁２ａとの接合側におけ
る先端部に流出防止用突条９を形成した本発明の
他の実施例である。
第６図は前記ウインドモールデイング５の頭部
５ｂを巾方向に２分割し、圧縮側部分５b1を比較
的硬い材料、伸長側部分５b2を比較的軟かい材料
により成形し、車体パネル（特に第３図で示すコ
ーナ部）への追従性を良くし第３図に示すような
コーナ部におけるしわを防止し外観品質の向上を
図つた本発明のさらに他の実施例である。
以上のように本発明自動車ウインドモールデイ
ングによれば、頭部の裏面にリツプを突設し、こ
のリツプをウインド開口内周壁に接着部材により
接合したので、モールデイングと車体パネルとの
相対運動がなくなるとともに、該モールデイング
と車体パネルとの間に砂、ほこり等が侵入せず、
したがつて車体塗膜面に傷が付かず発錆が未然に
防止される効果がある。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ 車体のウインド開口の車体一般面より落し込
    んだフランジにウインドガラスの周縁部を接着固
    定するための接着剤に脚部が差し込まれて固定さ
    れ、かつ頭部が前記ウインド開口内周壁と前記ウ
    インドガラスの端末との間隙を覆つている樹脂製
    のウインドモールデイングにおいて、前記頭部の
    裏面にリツプを突設し、このリツプを前記ウイン
    ド開口内周壁に接着部材により接合したことを特
    徴とする自動車用ウインドモールデイング。
