Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔技術分野〕 本発明はカラー・フィルターの製造方法に関する。
〔従来技術〕
従来、カラー・フィルターは、ガラス基板上にゼラチン
膜を塗布し、該ゼラチン膜をホト・リゾグラフィ技術を
用いて部分的に赤１Ｍ、青の三原色を染色して成るのが
通例であった。
しかし、上記従来技術によると、カラー・フィルターの
色特性が吸湿あるいは酸化により劣化するという欠点が
あった。
〔目　的〕
本発明は、かかる従来技術の欠点をなくし、色特性の吸
湿あるいは酸化等による劣化がないカラー・フィルター
の製造方法を提供することを目的とする。
〔概　要〕
上記目的を達成するための本発明の基本的な構成は、カ
ラー・フィルターの製造方法に関し、す７アイヤ、石英
あるいはガラス基板上には鉄、クロム、コバルト等の金
属膜や合金族を部分的に蒸着し、該基板を酸素、窒素あ
るいは水蒸気雰囲気中等で加熱処理することにより、上
記金ＭＭ等の金属元素を基板中に熱拡散させたり、熱酸
化させたりすることにより、カラー・フィルターとなす
ことを特徴とする。
〔実施例〕
以下、実施例により本発明を詳述する。
第１図乃至第７図は本発明の一実施例を示す。
カラー・フィルターの製造工程順に示した断面図である
。すなわち、（１）ガラス基板１の表面には、（２）ホ
トレジスト膜２を塗布し、部分的に露光・現像処理によ
り該ホト・レジスト膜２に窓開けし、（８）全面に第１
の金属膜３を形成し、（４）レジストを除去することに
より、部分的に前記金属膜３を残し、（５）上記（２）
乃至（４）の操作を第２の金属膜４．第３の金属膜５に
関しくり返−して行い、＆（ｓ分的に３種の金属膜を基
板１上に形成後、（６）熱処理して、前記金属膜の元素
を基板中に拡散させて、各々の色中心層６，７．８を形
成し、（７）不要の金属膜は除去して、３原色（赤、緑
、青）のカラー・フィルターが製作できる。色中心の色
は基板材料と金属元素によって定めることができ、す７
アイヤ基板に対してはＯｒが赤色中心をｃｏが青色中心
を、石英基板に対してはＦθが青色中心を作ることは良
く知られている。
〔効　果〕
本発明のごとく、サファイヤ、石英、あルイハガラス基
板上に鉄、クロム、コバルト等の金属膜や合金膜を部分
的に蒸着し、該基板あるいは基板表面に色中心を作る方
法でカラー・フィルターを製作することにより、色中心
の吸湿や酸化による色劣化のないカラー・フィルターが
製作できる効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. サファイヤ、石英あるいはガラス基板上には鉄、クロム
    、コバルト等の金属膜や合金膜を部分的Ｇこ蒸着し、該
    基板を酸素、窒素あるいは水蒸気雰囲気中等で加熱処理
    することにより、上記金属膜等の金属元素を基板中に熱
    拡散したり、熱酸化させたりすることによりカラー・フ
    ィルターとなすことを特徴とするカラー・フィルターの
    製造方法
