Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent insulating film which is dense, high in film strength, excellent in insulating property and also high in an electrode reflection preventing effect of an external light beam, and is used for a liquid crystal cell, etc. which can be formed by a screen printing method, by using a composition consisting of TiO2-SiO2 oxide. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of an organic titanium compound which becomes a TiO2-SiO2 oxide by burning and an organic silicone compound is dissolved in an organic solvent, is made into paste by adding and mixing a viscous agent and the resulting product is applied on a soda grass substrate, and is dried and after that, is burnt, by which a film is formed. As an organic titanium compound, tetraoctylene glycol titanate, tetrastearyl titanate, titanium oxyacetylacetonate, etc. are used, and as an organic silicone compound, vinyl-tris (2-methoxyethoxy)silane, etc. are used. As a solvent, alcohol, ester ether, etc. of a high boiling point, whose boiling point is 180-350 deg.C are used.
