Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an insulating film having superior performance, by dissolving a mixture of an organic titanate, an organic silicon compound, an organic aluminum compound, and an organic indium compound in an organic solvent, adding a thickner, mixing them, coating this paste on a substrate, and calcining this coated paste. CONSTITUTION:An organic titanate having O directly combined with Ti, such as tetraoctylene glycol titanate, an organic silane compound, such as aluminum vinyltrisacetylacetonate, and an organic indium compound, such as indium trisacetylacetonate are dissolved in a solvent having a high boiling point, such as 180- 350 deg.C, and a paste obtained by adding a thicker, such as ethyl cellulose, to this solution is coated on a transparent insulating film substrate of a liquid crystal cell or the like. An insulating film is formed by drying this paste film, and calcining it to 450-700 deg.C to convert it into an oxide, thus permitting the paste to have good stabihlity and coating performance, and the film obtained to be high in insulation property, and moreover, to have enhanced reflection prevention effect of an electrode against external light.
