Abstract

PURPOSE: To cheaply mass-produce stable transparent electrically conductive films by decomposing a specified org. tin cpd. on substrates.
CONSTITUTION: An org. tin cpd. of formula Sn(OR)4 (R; alkyl) is dissolved in an org. solvent such as alcohol or ester, and sufficiently washed substrates such as glass plates are dipped in the soln. At this time, an antimony cpd. may be added in a ratio adjusting Sb2O3 formed to below 10% of SnO2. The substrates are pulled up and dried at 100W200°C to hydrolyze the org. tin cpd. as well as to remove the solvent. The substrates are then heated to above 350°C and calcined to form SnO2 and Sb2O3 films on the substrates.
