The terminal 1G and a contact Si that is connected to a resistor 2 in the same group and corresponding to a dot to be printed are connected to an electric source, the terminal 2G and a contact Si that is connected to a resistor 2 in the same group and corresponding to a dot to be printed are connected to an electric source, and so on, so that an electric current is passed to the resistors in accordance with the printing position on a heat-sensitive paper 1. One heating period in each group is perdetermined such that the heat-sensitive paper 1 is completely subjected to heat-sensitive reaction by repeating the heating several times, so that for the same line the heating operation is repeated without moving the heat-sensitive paper.
