Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to change freely the size of a printing letter when the printer is in motion by a method wherein a plurality of heating elements which have the same dimension in one line and different dimensions in every line. CONSTITUTION:The printing parts 10 of the thermal printer composed of a plurality of heating elements (resistor elements) 14a-14c which have the same dimension in one line and different dimensions in every line are provided on a base. By selecting connector terminals 11A-11C of conductor patterns a1-a3 connected with the heating elements and by supplying current to them, the size of a printing letter is changed freely. The other electrodes of the heating elements 13C1-13C3, are connected respectively with connector terminals 101-10n of an electrode 12.
