Abstract
PURPOSE:To extend the life of a head and to enable to perform a high speed printing by a method wherein the exothermic resistor is divided into plural ones, the power consumption of each resistor is saved and a group of the divided exothermic resistors is controlled independently of the other resistors in the thermal recording head. CONSTITUTION:The regenerating layer 12 is formed on the insulating substrate 11, and the exothermic resistor 13b and the electrode 14c are mounted on it. Next the exothermic resistor 13b and the electrode 14c are coated with the insulating layer 17, the exothermic resistor 13a and electrodes 14a, 14b are installed on it, and the protective layer 15 and the wear-resisting layer 16 are formed. The common exothermic resistors 13b, which are one side of parallelly divided exothermic resistors 13a, 13b, are connected to the signal side terminal 10 in common in order to control themselves independently of the exothermic resistors 13a, the feed to the resistors 13b is controlled independently of that to the resistors 13a by shifting the time as required.
