Abstract
PURPOSE:To make parity memory independent and to reduce the memory capacity, by making the parity check for screen display through the use of vacant time of MPU cycle. CONSTITUTION:In MPU cycle, signals are written in odd and even number of screen memories 10,11 and the parity formed at a parity check generator 13 is stored in a parity memory 12. Next, the characters alternately read out from the screen memories 10,11 with a chip selection circuit 15 at the remaining time of the MPU cycle are made for parity check with the generator 13 and the memory 12. If any error takes place, the generator 13 outputs an error signal to make eror display on the screen. As to the DMA cycle, the memories 10 and 11 are selected at the same time and screen display is made by the transfer by one character.
